Now we're going to look at how we can use Trello sorting function. And this is to sort out the different cards and tasks that you have within a certain list. So for example, let's go to our to do list. Click this button right here on the top right. And then you can click on sort by. From here, there's a few options.
You can sort by due date. And by default, they'll sort out units that has been passed as the top one. You can sort out by cart name. So this first because it starts with B, this is then starting with C, and so on and so forth. Let's see now we can also sort by which card was created first. So by default, this is our previous view.
You can also sort by cards that are created latest. So you might have different reasons why you want to use this. For me specifically, I use it when I might have assigned a task and I created a card for it. It has its certain due date, but then this is a certain change of direction. Maybe there's a new challenge that we had to solve First, we have to change plans and then I might have forgotten to relook into a certain task or certain card. So what ends up happening is Sometimes I will have a check.
And I do that once a week, where I will filter and sort by due date, just to see whether there are any red or yellow tasks that I might have forgotten to put into my to do lists or upcoming lists. This will make more sense in the upcoming sections of the course, where I'll show you an example of an actual project. And there'll be a lot more tasks on that project. And it will have a lot more different information and the due dates will be a little bit messy, which is the point because that's where I'll demonstrate how you can use the sorting function combined with the filter functions to quickly find information like for example, this which is due date
