Hi, welcome back. All right, in this video, I'm going to go through power ups, which is a way for you to further increase the abilities of your Trello board. So think of them as plugins or extensions that is provided by Trello own sort of an app store. So to access it, you can click on the top right here on your menu button. And then select power ups. A new pop up window will appear.
And here you can already see a bunch of examples of power ups. You have Slack, Google Drive, you have calendar app, which is what we're going to go through. You'll have voting system. So a lot of these power ups are either built by Trello or third party software's and companies. For the free version of Trello, at the time of this recording can only have one powerup activated at a time. So if you want more, you have to sign up to the Trello subscription account.
So you can start searching for power ups here in the search bar. There are also power ups that are categorized accordingly like automation, board, utilities and etc. So the one that we wanted is the calendar powerup. So if you click here, you can see there's a short description, but what the powerup would do and some screenshots So for this powerup, it basically adds a new calendar function. And your cards that have due dates will appear according to when they are due. You can then drag them around and edit from the calendar view itself.
So I'm going to show you how to do that. scroll back up, click the Add button. And as you can see here, there'll be a notification saying that you've already added power up and you've reached your limit because I'm on free account. Close that and you'll see in your menu there, this calendar powerup right here. You'll also notice this Power Up button called calendar here. So if you click on it, it's already showing you the calendar power up menu.
So as I mentioned before, you can click and drag all your cards with In the calendar app itself, which is pretty neat, you can even edit just like you would in the normal view. And this is gives you a way to zoom out when you're doing your planning, either like monthly basis, or even you can change it to weekly basis, just by toggling the two buttons on the top right. You can also sync it to your own calendar by clicking this gear icon. So right now, I haven't enabled anything but you could if you want to connect to one of your kind of news, you can enable sync. So everything you have here with a due date will appear in your personal professional calendar outside of Trello. So that's it for power ups.
