I think our daily lives are endlessly fascinating. So much happens, so many new discoveries, ideas, events, memories. Most of it, sadly, often passes unnoticed or forgotten even by ourselves. We might end up thinking nothing interesting happens in our lives; we have nothing to say. In this class I want to show you how to transform your daily happenings, ideas, random encounters, observations into art and how much can be learned in this process about yourself as an artist, and how full your life is of interesting stuff, it's just a matter of noticing it, how so much of our creativity is rooted in our daily realities, which can be transformed with just a bit of imagination into works of art.
This class is based on personal experience, a recently created semi-autobiographic surreal graphic story, a mix of reality and imagination inspired by real events and personal experiences. I'll take you through my creative process, from idea generation to creating the drawings. This is more than a storytelling class; it gives you the basics tools for creating a story and goes beyond this.
What will you learn in this course?
All mixed in with real-life personal experiences and discoveries as well as examples from other artists and some famous names.
