DESCRIPTION: Normal bladder health is peeing every 2-4 hours, being able to hold it for as long as you need to, being able to initiate the flow of urine immediately once the time comes, and being able to maintain a steady flow once you start. Peeing should be pain-free and once you are done peeing, you should feel that you have completely emptied your bladder. You shouldn&rsquo;t have to bear down to pee or change the position of your pelvic in order to fully empty. You should never pee yourself even while coughing, sneezing, laughing, or jumping and you shouldn&rsquo;t wake up in the night to go pee. Anything outside of this is considered abnormal and a sign of pelvic floor dysfunction.
In addition to the integrity, coordination, and strength of the pelvic floor, there are a few nutritional considerations for optimal bladder health.
