DESCRIPTION: I don&rsquo;t want to make any assumptions here regarding how you feel about having a c-section but I do want to address those who are feeling all the feelings surrounding it because I have witnessed it time and time again. If you feel 100% fine with how your birth went, feel free to still listen to this but please don&rsquo;t take any of this as what you should be feeling, it&rsquo;s more for those who are sad, bummed, angry, and disappointed about their cesarean birth.
If this is you, I have a few things to tell you. First off, it wasn&rsquo;t your fault and you didn&rsquo;t fail. Your baby came out and you are both alive, that was the end goal and you accomplished that. But it's also ok to be sad about it. If it wasn&rsquo;t your birth plan, it's ok to grieve what didn&rsquo;t happen and I encourage you to do so. You don&rsquo;t have to pretend that your birth was picture-perfect.
