Excessive bleeding is designated as:

Soaking through more than one pad in an hour.
Passing a clot the size of a golf ball or larger more than 24 hours after birth or.
Bright red blood after the third day following birth.


Separation of stitches in the perineum or abdomen.
An incision that isn&rsquo;t healing.
Perineal swelling or tenderness...
