Hello, in this segment, I'm gonna be talking to you about creating chapter structure. Now, the whole segment here is really in reference to you writing a self help book. Now, the most difficult part of writing about is getting started, I get it, and this is really going to help you move forward. Now, a higher idea is to write down seven to 10 questions, your book is going to be answering concerning your topic. Now remember, self help books are all about what the problem is and what the solution is. So you know, all these different problems in regards to your topic.

And your book is the solution to these problems. So each chapter is going to basically solve a problem. So each of these questions will then become your book chapter. And since most books have seven to 10 chapters, of course, you can add more if you like, that's completely up to you. Now, you should have a book title, of course, and a list of questions which will become the new chapters of your book. Now that know for each question, I want you to write down as many answers to the question as you can think of this, these answers as bullets under each question.

So move through each of your chapters this way until you have outlined all of them and these will be your subtitles within each chapter. Now, of course, as I mentioned, you are solving problems your That is why people are going to buy your book. And this is really important for you to define the problem that you're solving. For example, your book can be about the seven steps to you know, soulmate love, or it can be the five steps to prosperity and definition of the problem is really what the reader is going to be facing. And with the reassurance that this book can really address the problem and, and has a solution for the reader. And it's really important for you to have a history of the problem to give an explanation of how the reader like so many people can have came to have this problem.

And typically, you want it to bring all of this into, into the light within the first chapter. Now, I also want you to explain what the reader needs to know before tackling the problem. What does the reader need to know in order to begin the process of solving the problem? Now, I would recommend too, that you offer an action plan within each chapter. So you have the defining the problem in a chapter. You're going to get the history of the problem you're explaining to the reader, what the reader needs to know how to tackle the problem or the solutions.

And then you're gonna offer an action plan within each chapter. Now, of course, the action plan for solving a problem is really about you giving practical information, you can offer quizzes, a step by step process, it's completely up to you. Then you're going to have a backstage section of your book. And this really will include a list of resources, a list of Further reading, you know, your index, a glossary, it's completely up to you. Now, again, as you are creating this the chapter structure. As I mentioned, you're going to be creating chapter titles.

So make sure your chapter titles have energy and give a sense of what is in the chapter. So begin your book with a topic your reader will want most to read. bout and then dive deeper into more challenging topics, such as facing challenging emotions. Now, again, a typical number for chapters is five to seven, sometimes seven to 10. It's completely up to you on what feels good for you. Now, do your chapters have to be the same length?

No, they do not. If you end up having a 10 page chapter or a 15 page chapter, you should consider whether you don't want a little more consistency and length. I would recommend more consistency than anything else. You never want your reader to suddenly think Wait, what am I reading about? What chapter Am I N. So make sure that your subtitle your subtopics have to fit under the umbrella of the chapter. And of course, you're going to want to write an introduction right The introduction last, your introduction will explain why you wrote the book.
