DESCRIPTION:
We mentioned that 1 container produces over 100 pounds of lettuce a week - and that is approximately 800 heads of lettuce.
We have multiple advantages here when we talk about the comparison of land use.

A 320 square feet footprint, producing the equivalent of 2 acres of land
This little bit of land allows us to be in close proximity to where people live, work, eat, and play.

Traditional agriculture, here in the United State, industrialized, is really hard on the soil and the truth is that most of our farmable land has been degraded to the point where it’s in need of regeneration or just isn't usable.
Here at Box Greens, we’re growing food but we are completely separate from that equation. We have a food solution where we are not participating in either upgrading or downgrading top soil because we’re able to grow food without any soil.
