Energy

It powers anything that has an on/off switch that our society can’t function without.
Not everyone has access to it and the energy sources we use today could soon run out.
That’s why the UN made access to sustainable energy for all Goal #7.

What is really powering all of these things? Everything is connected to an energy grid.

Cables that run to every home, business and lamppost, all stem from a power plant.

Power plants create electricity through an energy source.

Today, most power plants are fueled by fossil fuels - oil, coal, and natural gas.

They are burned to create steam, pump powerful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere (like carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide)
They are non-renewable, meaning they will run out.
We’ve already used around 40% of those fossil fuels available.

We need to transition to a clean and renewable, alternative.
1 in every 10 people on Earth lacks access to electricity, which limits development in every way.
