Okay, lesson number six, the human baby, an open book. Now I truly hope that you're getting a really good picture and an understanding of the concept of the primal mind. And based on the last lesson, you can easily compare the primal mind of this stick figure on my side here to the hypothalamus. Now, anyone who experiences the feeling or the rush of energy that we label as anxiety, quite frankly, is normal. The disordered comes in the person who has no emotion, or zero responses to anything in life and someone who doesn't ever respond to a threat because they really don't feel anything. Well, to me that is not normal.

And there's a reason why that individual has been coded to support Those feelings. And so there's a difference between people who don't feel anything and people who actually feel their emotions but have learned how to respond rather than react. And we know that reacting is a primal response. But responding is actually very healthy. And so responding to a threat or to danger rather than reacting to it is very, very different. And learning how to respond, like I said, is healthy, reacting, especially in today's age can lead to a lot of problems.

And it's not just your health, but people who experience no emotions. Well, in my opinion, that is the abnormality. You don't actually meet very many of these folks, because quite frankly, they don't survive very long. I mean, can you imagine the caveman who does nothing when a threat like an enemy or an animal is about to get them? No, because they just don't exist anymore. They're dead.

They probably ended up as something's dinner. So congratulations. You made it your life today because your body works perfectly. And you can think your ancestors for that gift not me. So, you know, go hug your mom and dad light a candle to your sisters and shout hooray. Okay, so let's go ahead and move on to Part number two.

And as always, let's start out with the stickman. And we have the body and we have the mind. And as we talked about, we have the primal mind. So let's go ahead and add that and leave that in there as always. And now let's add part two. And this part of the mind, I'm going to label it as the unconscious mind.

Now some people like to refer to this as the subconscious mind. But quite frankly, I like to use unconscious mind a lot better because sub refers to below or under. And in reality, it's the unconscious mind, which is who we really are and it's the biggest and most powerful part of us and as we will see you Is our unconscious mind, which is the most powerful part of us. And if we learn to control the unconscious mind, wow, we can do just about anything. So let me explain. When we are born, we are an open book.

And our life is completely a blank slate at this point. So when you're born, every experience, every thought, every image, every idea is recorded in your book of life. Now, we are just waiting here as little babies. I mean to have the pages of our life written down and record it programmed, if you will, with information and we call that information experience. This is our book of life. Every experience that we've ever had is on record every thought every action, every deed.

Now we're just waiting here for experienced to happen. Now in the beginning, you know, especially as a A newborn the first few weeks or first few months, we are just laying there. Well, you really have about five activities that you do. And they do fill up your days you eat and you open up and you sleep. And let's not forget you cry. Now, we came pre installed with certain program and all of the programming relating to basic survival.

Now certain programs were installed or programmed in our DNA coding, which is innate. And we talked about the hypothalamus and how that automatically works out, but you know what, we also have some other coding. And so what does innate mean? And this will make a lot of sense to you. But innate means natural or inborn or pre installed, built in, essential or organic. Now we came pre installed with all the things relating to basic survival just in the beginning part We just needed some help with the eating part.

Well, actually the eating and the changing of diapers and hopefully, somebody was giving us lots of love and warmth. We really don't like cold when we're babies. And so every person in this life starts out basically, and essentially the same. Our bodies may look a little different, but our coding is basically the same. We are blank pages with just basic survival coding, the primal mind is one of the examples. And so what does this mean biologically?

Well, as far as our bodies go, the primal mind, this part of us controls not only our fight or flight or freeze coding, which we have been talking about just to stay alive, but we came with the standard factory installation with all the functions that our body needs for basic survival. So what are they? Well, how about the ability to breathe for example, I mean, you do like to breathe, don't you? You don't have to be taught how to do this. And upon rolling out or sliding out onto the factory floor, good Swiss Mac to the seat cushion. And everyone in the room knows that we're working returned on.

But what about the ability to digest food? I mean, that's pretty important. What about that vital thing like a beating heart? I mean, that's pretty important. Now, these basic operations and bodily functions are not just required to leave the parking lot. But they are innate.

You don't have to think about them. If you did, you'd be dead. I mean, they happen automatically so that we can even say this part of our mind controls our auto functions. For those of you who like to study biology, we can even say their autonomic functions. Alright, so back to the baby as an open book. I mean, look how amazing was We all are.

I mean, look how amazing you are. You deserve an award just for being this incredible. You can do all of these things. And you don't even have to think about it. I mean, if you did a cut on your arm or your hand, it's gonna heal all by itself. It's just any you know how to do that without even thinking about it.

And if somebody ever tells you, you're never going to amount to anything. I mean, don't even listen to them because they don't even know what they're talking about. They just don't understand do the I mean you do all this stuff naturally innately and automatically. I mean, get this even if a baby was born in China, for example, that baby not only has the ability to learn Chinese as he or she grows up, but Gosh, darn it, every language in the world. I mean, we can take that baby and bring that baby to the United States and the baby could grow up speaking perfect Chinese and perfect English. And you know what?

We can send that baby to Texas. And if it grows up, it's not only going to speak perfect Chinese, but also perfect English with a Texan accent. I mean, Wow, that is freakin amazing to me. So have birth, or we could call this at birth you open up your book of life. It is wide open to any thought image or idea. So now you're a brand new baby.

So let's bring up the sick man again. Oh, you know, wait a second. We really need a better image. We need a stick baby. Not a stick, man. All right.

So we have the primal mind pre installed. And now we have our unconscious mind so far. And there you go. Isn't that better? Look at that little baby's got a stick figure diaper on it. All right.

So as a baby, you started to receive influences in coding. We call this experiences now. This coding came from your family and your environment. And it comes in a lot of different forms. The coding is in the form of language and culture, your religion, your creed, family, traditions, etc. Now, all of the thoughts and the images and the ideas which you were raised and exposed to, I'm being pumped into your little open unconscious mind at a tremendous speed.

And so we know in the world of psychology, we've studied this development in extreme detail. And we know that within the first five years of life, we receive more coding and more programming faster than any other point and any other time in our life. We actually develop millions and millions of brain connections well beyond the prime of mind. Now think of every little experience that you've ever had every second every moment. That's another neural connection. All right.

Right. And so you developed the beginning, your five physical senses, you started to develop relationships with the world around you. I mean, everything that you saw and heard and touched and smelled and tasted, stimulated your brain, and guess what you gained experience and you gain neural connections. And eventually, these connections reach into the billions. The foundation for everything that you are going to experience later in life was being programmed into you from the time of your birth. We call this coding or programming, this foundation of you as your life script or paradigms, your belief systems, and eventually, your habitual way of thinking.

So the foundation of who you are today, your health, your body image, your success, and money, just to name a few four examples is who you are. And it is the world in which you perceive the world through the lenses on how you see things. And all of this has been coded, you're shaped not by your choice, but by the environment and in the nurturing you receive starting at birth. All right, so we have our unconscious mind. every thought, every image, every idea is learned about relationships, relationships between you and everything in your world. How, again, through experiences, you learned if the world is safe and secure, or dangerous and unfair, you learned if you were loved and supported, or alone and rejected.

You learn what makes you laugh. And of course, what makes you cry. You learn how you should behave and treat your future partner mate, your family, your teachers, mentors and friends. even strangers, you'll learn about how others are going to treat you through your perception, the foundation of a healthy or unhealthy self esteem was being formed. If you grew up in a loving home, you'll you'll learn about love. If you grew up in a home where there was a lot of yelling and fighting, well, you learn that is how relationships work.

So how do you see the world, these fundamental ideas about relationships, which you were being programmed, not by your choice, remember, but by simply being present in that environment, establish the basis, the development of your communication skills, your behavior, your thoughts, your views of the world, you learn social skills, and so much more. In other words, you are today who you were programmed to be when you were little. Now don't worry. If you don't like who you are. Today, I'm going to show you how to encode or decode that programming and recode programming of your choice, especially as it relates to anxiety. So go ahead and complete your workbook and I am going to see
