In this module, we will see how we can make use of a recruitment agency and getting that interview call. So let's see. There are six power steps, which will get you closer to a recruitment agency for you to get a response.
Step one, expertise. Study the expertise of the recruitment agency, both in terms of domain and industry. There are many industry specialists agencies, which will have a set of clients which will be of interest to you. Once your resume is presented to them because of their portfolio matching your background. All the more chances that you will get a call from them. That's the first step.
Step two, study the client list. Go through the website, go to the company's LinkedIn pages, go through their Facebook pages and study the recruitment Agencies list of clients that will give you an idea of what is the portfolio they're handling what is the kind of reputation they enjoy. Step three testimonials. study what kind of testimonials the agency has got. That will give you an insight of what kind of relationships they enjoy with their clients. Step four, sell your candidature.
Study the portfolio of clients that the recruitment agency has, there will be different kinds of jobs for which you will have to apply differently. As in, you got to have a separate cover letter, separate tweak resume in which you need to send to the agency for all their separate clients. That's how they will be motivated to present your candidates. In my previous video, I have shown you how to customize your cover letter as well as your resume. Study their profiles, call up the recruiter, build a rapport and meet them. It's important that you meet a recruiter because that's how you will be able to sell your candidates shows In what value you add to their clients and they will be motivated to present your candidature. Step six, build rapport. It's very important that you understand that an agency makes money by placing you once you understand that, can you imagine why will they not please, there is no reason for them right? But you need to demonstrate to them what kind of value you bring to their clients, for them to be motivated to present your candidates. If you do that, if you build your Apple, you are there.
