You've done your homework on the company, you're prepared, you're ready and you've sent your resume. And you are excitedly waiting for that interview call.

Right? What should you do to ensure that you do get that call? Let me show you how. Hello and welcome. I am Sarah Jean Satcher. We know that job search can be a very frustrating experience for most professionals.

That's because they don't think out of the box and don't use innovative ways to search for a job. I have devised. A learning modules spread over 18 in depth videos. It's titled syrup GS complete job search tutorial. And together we will learn methods and ways and steps which are innovative which will make you stand out as a candidate and ensure that you get that interview Call. In the previous module, we saw how to network with potential employers.

In this module, we will learn how to do an impactful follow up after you've sent your resume in. So let's look at the four parts steps. Step one, address by name, the hiring manager. It's very important that when you either call or send an email, you should know the name and address him or her by his or her name. Step two hardcopy just to reiterate the fact as I explained in my previous video, that in today's day and age of email, mobile soft copies, when you send a hard copy of your resume in application, it stands out because it does attract the attention of the prospective employer. So do send a hardcore Step three, company information.

Keep a track of the latest updates and happenings about the company or the milestones achieved. So when you follow up with the prospective hiring manager, display this knowledge and That'll help find a connection with that employer, and chances of you're getting that job will increase step for elevator pitch. First, let's understand what an elevator pitches. Assuming you and your boss are in a lift and you're going up to the 20th floor, you have exactly one and a half minute to reach the 20th floor, you have an extremely good idea about which you are excited. It's a business idea which you want to convince your boss about. But the catch is that you have only a minute or minute and a half to convince him to do that.

Do the same thing and apply it when you're calling a prospective employer. When you call, just begin with the elevator pitch. So to the person on the phone within one and a half minutes, you need to actually convince him Why should we do practice what you will speak before you give him a call. Let me give you an example. Suppose you applied for regional managers post in an fmcg company for sales. When you call what you should Say within that one and a half minutes, which is the learning from the elevator pitch.

I am impressed with the organization's reputation to innovate and come up with new concepts. However, in terms of sales, the challenge remains that the sales are way below targets. And the reason I have researched and found out is that the sales team is not using the approach or selling the concept first and then the product whereas once the concept is sold and established, your product sales will really take off because it has value proposition. I have good experience in that area and can be and have been rewarded price for selling concepts successfully, and can do the same for you because of my understanding of the product category. I would like to demonstrate how I can do this for you. Hence a brief request for a seven to eight minute interview at your convenience.

That's how you should present yourself. After this. The next day, write a nice thank you note to the hiring manager. reiterate the fact that you want to meet him And in case you don't hear from him for a week, write another letter or make a phone call. Remember that without a follow up, your entire effort will be just half done. They will be no interview call without a follow up.

However, also, let me caution you to not come across as desperate. Do it in style. And if you need the dream job, you need to have that interview call, right? So make an impression that lasts. So let's go back and just revise all these eight in depth modules. What did we learn?
