Module five, effective use of LinkedIn. Are you active on LinkedIn? Or do you merely use LinkedIn? To send and accept invites and grow your connections? Is that all it takes to make use of LinkedIn and influence the decision makers? Not at all.

LinkedIn as a platform really needs to be understood in detail for you to make, use and meet your goal of getting that interview call. Oh, by the way, do you even have a LinkedIn profile? Hello and welcome. I'm syrups it's such a most professionals find job search to be a very frustrating experience because they don't use innovative or out of the box ways to search for a job. I have developed an in depth 18 module video tutorial called surrogates complete job search tutorial. together through each of these modules.

We will see and use innovative ways and means of how to go about making you stand out As a candidate so that you get that interview call. In the last module, we learned how to customize a resume, and differentiate yourself. In this module, we learn how to use LinkedIn as a platform to increase your network and influence decision makers and hiring managers. Let me share with you seven power steps, which will enhance your each increase your network so that you can influence the decision makers. Step one. Powerful summary.

Why is this summary so important in a LinkedIn profile? worldwide research shows that a reader normally spends the maximum time on the summary as compared to other parts of the profile, you need to have a profile and a summary which should brand you see your summary when it is read by a recipient or a reader. He should feel tempted to meet you or positively connect with you. That's critical to influence the hiring managers. And my experience is that 90% of the profiles which are written Don't have a good summary don't have a impactful summary and you lose that opportunity to gain attention. Either you write a summary, which is powerful and brand yourself, or differentiate yourself by getting it done through a professional LinkedIn profile writer.

Step two, how to get a positive response from a connection? Have you wondered why when you send a connection, you don't get a response. I show you a unique method of attracting attention of the person who you're sending a connection to. Like in the video one, I showed you to make a list of prospective employer companies. Similarly, in that you list down the HR managers and the attitudes and the functional managers on one side, second side, you look at your teammates, your ex colleagues and ex spouses, start sending them invites but not through the regular LinkedIn tool, mentioned a line about them, what impresses you about the individual. That's how you start building that relationship.

So remember, at this stage, you Don't have to ask for a job. You just need to send an invite and attract attention. And that's the beginning of a relationship. Step three, what do you write in this cover note, what you need to do is study the profiles of the hiring managers and see what their achievements are, and try and find something unique that impresses you. Write about that a single line that this has impressed me about you. When you send that there is a high probability that the guy will accept your connection.

Step four, being visible. As you know, this is a platform which is used for brand building, and group discussions play a very important role on LinkedIn. You need to be visible by meaningful contributions that you can make to a group discussion. Also, make regular updates a habit with you whenever you go on to LinkedIn. Step five, adding value to a connection. How do you add value to a connection?

What you need to do is share information which is of interest to that other person Individually, then only you add that value, what kind of value or what kind of information can you say? Either you send them a case study, which you have come across, which is about their interest and their company. Second, it could be an accomplishment of a competitor, which you would like to share. Third, it could be something which is unique that you have read, which is not easily traceable on the net. Some information which is unique but valuable to the reader is something which will make your relationship stronger. Step six, getting recommendations.

Recommendations are a very powerful tool to brand yourself and differentiate yourself on the platform. How do you get recommendations? There are three ways to do it. One, you should get recommendations from your ex bosses. Tell them to write about an area of expertise and your leadership or managerial capabilities. Second, you tell your team members or your ex police to write about your capability to work as a team member.

Third, tell your clients or the vendors to present you as an expert in that field. Step seven, LinkedIn jobs. Once again, I'm reiterating that you go through all the jobs because there is a variety of jobs that are available on LinkedIn. And it is one of the most powerful tools. So friends, that's the power of LinkedIn. Go ahead and use it and use all the seven power steps that I have explained to you to build your brand presence online.

As far as this platform is concerned, we now move on to our next tool of approaching a recruitment agency for a job and I will show you a unique approach how you connect with them. So stay tuned.
