Let's go over sharing our contacts. There's a couple different ways you can do that. If you've got individual contacts or groups who want to share, you can do that by sharing them as V cards on an email. Or you can also share out your entire contact list. Let's start with the V cards. If I wanted to share out this contact would highlight it, do a right click forward contact as an outlook contact, it's going to attach it from here, they could just open it and save it into their contact list.

Let's close out of this another way, right click forward as a business card. It gives them a copy of the business card, but it also gives them the VCF file. So again, they can open it and save it into their contact list. With this option, because they're getting a copy of the business card, they're seeing the information that's attached in the VCF file. close out of that. To share contact group, you do the same thing, we can do a right click on it.

Because it's a contact group, we don't get the option to share as a business card. Instead, it will share it as an outlook contact. So go ahead and click on that. We open it up, you'll see the individuals contained within the group, and the recipient can then save them to their contact list. So it's quick and easy. email them out by for the meme, the recipient opens them saves the contacts into their contact list.

If you wanted to share out your entire contact list with people within your organization, you can do that as well. Make sure we're in the contact app, we're going to come over to the share group and click Share contacts. From here it's going to open up our invitation and we select the people we want to share it with. There are two boxes that are available. When you're sending it out to share your contacts. You can also request permission to view the recipients contact folder as well.

The other option, which is checked by default is allowed recipient to view your contacts folder. This is because you're sharing it. So that's why it's checked automatically. One thing to keep in mind when you're sharing out your contact folder, the people you are sharing it with are going to be able to see all the information in there. So if there are contacts you don't want to share, you may want to make them private. So let's close out of this.

And I'll show you how to do that. If I've got a contact on here that I do not want to share out, I could select that contact, highlight them, come up to the tax group and click private. That's going to mark that contact as private. And so then they will not have permission to see that contact. So if I come down, this is a contact that would be shared because it's not marked as private. But if I come back up to this contact, you'll see that it's marked as private.

The big difference between forwarding the contact via email and sharing out your contact list is how it's updated. If you share out your contact list as you update contacts, The individual you're sharing it with will also see that updated information. If you forward the contact on via email and you update the information on your side, the individual you forwarded to does not see that update. So that's one thing to keep in mind if you want to make sure the information is staying updated on both sides, and also was sharing out your contact list you have to remember to mark any contacts you don't want them to see as private
