DESCRIPTION: Script analysis is all about paying attention to every detail in order to serve the writer’s intention.
Once you understand the intention then you must infuse your personality, imagination, and life experiences into the character and the scene.
Study the style, tone, and genre.
Everything counts, from punctuation to grammar to the rhythm of how the lines are written.
In fact, be especially careful when reading and learning the lines to not say something the way you normally would, because maybe it is written differently.
For example, the character says something you normally wouldn’t.
The more you do it, the better you get at it.
If you don’t know what a word means, look it up.
If you don’t understand what’s going on in the monologue or scene, you need to work with a coach or scene partner to unravel the story, make specific choices about your character, etc. — before you audition.
Please note:

This is exactly the prep...
