So the deliverables on this project are your mission and vision statements. Once you have those firmly in place, you'll have a clearer picture of your direction and way forward to conducting your strategic planning exercise. These two elements are crucial and this is why we need to have them defined and in place before doing your exercise, because they drive your business and its activities, it's essential to have them in place. So you want your exercise to reflect the outcome of your idea of growth and forward movement. In essence, these two statements explain your reason for existing and direct you to where you want to go. Remember, as you're sitting down to write your mission statement that it speaks to your current state of business and objectives.

Such as what you do, who you do it for and how you do it. Keep it to a few sentences, make it memorable and repeatable by your team. And remember that it encompasses a short timeframe. As for your vision statement, it speaks more to the future of where do you want to take your business. Think of where you want to be in one, two or three years. Create a statement that serves as a guy, it should contribute to where the accomplishments of your goals and again, keep it short and memorable and repeatable.

So once you're done creating both your mission and vision statements, be sure to share them internally with your teams and staff. Your mission statement can even be shared publicly in printed material and even your website. The vision statement, however, is more of an internal document serving as a guide to your ongoing activities and for longer term goals. That's why we don't often see them shared publicly and annual reports for website material So that's all I have for now on this subject. Remember to grab the mission and vision statement class project document for more guidance. There are several examples of mission and vision statements from corporations that you all know and recognize.

Remember, there's no right or wrong statements, but be realistic about your mission and your vision and your goals. Share your work here if you'd like feedback, or connect with me, have fun and I'll see you next time on the flip side
