Week 4 focusses on different types of abuse.  For the purpose of this course, we define abuse as: "Any significant failure by parents to provide proper nurturing to a child."
You are asked to be open-minded and consider a number of forms of abuse and whether or not they occurred in your family of origin.  Then you evaluate if living in the family system you grew up in, has carried over into the way you deal with your family (positively or negatively) or other relationships.
