Let’s make sentences telling a friend what sports our parents or grandparents played when they were young.

If you prefer to write about sports you and your friends enjoy playing that’s great too.

The founders of Fitness Latinos love soccer. In Spanish, it is called fútbol. Recently, we learned that Chinese students learning English call soccer ‘football’. Sounds very similar to the Spanish version of ‘fútbol’, right? How cool is that. You will begin to see that each country has a slightly different way to say the same thing. The differences can be regional or simply that it just sounds cool to say it in another language. That’s what makes learning from each other special. We can all learn something new from one another.

Hagamos oraciones para compartir con una amiga los deportes que jugaban nuestros padres o abuelos cuando eran pequeños.

Recientemente aprendimos que los estudiantes chinos que están aprendiendo inglés también llaman al fútbol ‘football’. ¿Suena muy similar a la versión española de fútbol cierto? ¡Que genial es eso. Comenzarás a ver que cada país tiene su propia forma de decir lo mismo. Las diferencias pueden ser regionales o simplemente porque es más ‘cool’ decirlo en otro idioma. Eso es lo que hace que aprender unos de otros sea especial. Todos podemos aprender algo nuevo de otras personas.
