What's impeding your success? Many of us are unsatisfied with our level of achievement. Somehow others seems to get ahead of us at a much faster pace. Perhaps you have long held dreams to set up your own business, move out of the country to find that ideal home, or even simply just to ask that friend out on a date. He just can't seem to break out of a shell to take the first step. We tend to take two steps forward, and three steps back.
What's pulling us back? Before we look deeper, let's get to the fundamental issue of all problems. In That show of problems arise in such a manner I want something there is a deficit of this something. Hence, I become stressed and anxious. Am I right? What if I tell you the shortfall or deficit may not exist at all?
What if I tell you that most of the shortfall in deficits that you perceived do not exist before you shut off this video, please hear me out. What I'm about to say is not some new age concept. It is scientifically proven. Before I can unravel the equation, let me explain how your mind works. Oh mine is highly complex. Not to mention is one of the most powerful organs in our body.
In this context, we will look at two aspects unconscious mind and the subconscious mind. As the image rightfully depicts, our conscious mind is like the tip of an iceberg. Its function is a lot less powerful than we might think. The conscious mind is at play when thoughts are fully conscious, and awareness is present and control. As seen here, it is really a very small part of our mental makeup. The study of the subconscious mind lies below the conscious awareness.
It records everything we do. Every activity we engaged in our thoughts, our likes, or dislikes, and everyday encounters, or do nothing is forgotten by the subconscious mind. For the most part, this remains hidden from our everyday awareness. The subconscious has tremendous influence on how we think and how we act, even though we are not fully aware of it. The conscious mind governs our logical thinking and reasoning. When you handle a mathematic equation, you're using your conscious mind to analyze and solve problem.
Our psychomotor skill is another aspect that is highly influenced by our conscious mind. When you decide to leave your hand to pick up that cup of coffee that you want to dream, you are using your conscious mind because you're fully aware of your action. Your conscious intention and conscious mind can control Moto X. So whenever you are aware of the thing that you're doing, you can be confident that you are doing it with your conscious mind. The conscious mind is also known as the gatekeeper for the mind. If someone tried to present you with a belief that does not match your belief system, then your conscious mind will filter that as well.
Now let's talk about subconscious mind. The subconscious mind records everything we do, every activity that we engaged in our thoughts, our likes and dislikes, and everyday encounters. Although nothing is forgotten by the subconscious mind, this remains hidden from our everyday awareness. How emotions are triggered by our subconscious. This is the reason why we find it very hard to control our feelings. involuntary actions such as breathing, blinking, and even our heartbeat is very much governed by the subconscious to we are not fully aware that all these are functioning but yet they are working To keep us alive.
The life skills we learn also things to our subconscious. That's why we can swim and cycle even though we have learned them only once. We don't even have to be totally conscious of how to do these things before we actually do them. Now can you see how powerful your subconscious is?
