Chapter 17: The Threefold Path of Sraddha; Shraddhatraya Vibhaga Yoga
In this Chapter, Krishna explains the Path of three Shraddhas – faith that we follow or temperament or attitude towards life values we live with. These are tamasic, rajasic and sattvic. This explains the types of goods we eat, activities we take part in, and life choices we make. Krishna explains the moral and ethical virtues of Yamas and Niyamas and ,om tat sat, the ultimate expression of Brahman.
Verse 16: Mental cheerfulness, cheerfulness in expression, inner silence, mastery over the mind, clean intent – this (these together) is called mental discipline.
