DESCRIPTION: Chapter 14 Gunatraya-Vibhaga-Yoga In the previous chapter Krishna mentioned that the association of the Gunas of the Prakriti are responsible for rebirth and cycle of Samsara. In this chapter Krishna details the concept of Gunas and how to transcend to free ourselves from this association of Gunas. Krishna begins this chapter with praising of the Atma-Jnana for Arjuna&rsquo;s attention. The supreme knowledge of Reality or Divine leads one to the ultimate goal of liberation. By realising this wisdom, one attains the nature and qualities of Divine Itself and becomes free from birth cycles or Samasara. Krishna reveals that with the blessings of the Supreme Consciousness (Parmatman), the Prakriti gives birth to this universe. Thus Prakriti and Parmatman are the universal parents of all living and non-living beings of originate. The three Gunas are Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas.
