DESCRIPTION: Chapter 18 Moksha-Sannyasa-Yoga In this chapter Arjuna requests Krishna to explain to him about the nature and difference between Sannyasa and Tyaga. Krishna begins his teachings by emphasising on the importance of important Dharma practices (nitya-karma) like Yajna, Daan, and Tapas. We should never give up on these virtuous human acts. These selfless acts will help a Sadhaka to purify his mind, heart, karma and samaskaras. Krishna mentions that a person who has attained absolute purity may not need to perform these nitya-karmas. Krishna further describes Sannyasa of three tymes-&nbsp; tamasic, rajasic, and sattvic. A sattvic renunciation according to Lord Krishna nis nothing other than Karma Yoga. A Karma Yogic renounces the fruits of his or her actions (niskama-karma). By means of karma yoga, he attains Atma-Jnana or self-knowledge.
