DESCRIPTION: Chapter 9 Raja Vidya Yoga The teachings on Upasana or meditation on absolute divine with the form, qualities and attributions (saguna-upasana) is also not the end goal, but to prepare us for Nirguna-Upasana or attain oneness with Absolute Formless Divine free from qualities and attributions. They Saguna Upasana is a mean to attain freedom from birth cycles (Krama-mukti). And qualify for absolute liberation of Jivan-Mukti. Krishna begins the ninth chapter with explaining about the saguna and the nirguna forms (jnana and vijnana) of divine, its glory and required qualifications to experience that absolute cosmic consciousness. Krishna mentions that this is the most sacred wisdom (Raja-Guhya-Vidya) which liberates the knower from mortal cycle or bondage.
