This program includes videos and several documents to familiarise parents and preschool staff with Empowering Learning and the value of these skills. The object of this program is to stop primary children from developing Dyslexia because they have not learned these skills and how other children an adults can benefit from a visual pedagogy for all aspects of life.
The principle of scaffolding is to prepare early years with visual literacy skills that match their visual strengths and hence when they move onto phonics, the phonemes will simply drop into their existing images of words.
This program was born out of 25 years of working with Dyslexics and other neurodiverse students, each one of whom had not learned the skill to visualize words and found phonics teaching really difficult without this underpinning foundation.
