You've heard me mentioned that when you're starting a presentation, the easiest, the best thing is to just start right away into a story. Start with setting or introduce the character. People say to me, TJ, you know, I just can't do it. It feels weird. It feels rude. It feels up noxious.

Of course, I have to thank the organization that invited me. Of course, I have to thank the person who introduced me thank people for listening thank them for their time. You could, but you do not have to. It's frankly boring. Everyone is expecting you to do that. Nobody's walking away saying, wow.

Awful, boring speech. But I sure I'm glad he thanked me. That's not what goes on in the mind of the audience. I want you to think of it from a slightly different perspective. I would submit to you that the single best way of thanking the audience the best way of thanking The people who, who invited you. The best way of thanking the organization is to deliver a great speech, a great presentation, filled with great stories do that.
