STAR = Situation + Task + Action + Result When it comes to interviewing, be it answering questions or overcoming objections, in order to truly shine it is important to be a STAR. Does that mean you have to go to Hollywood? No. However, to ace your interviews, there is a technique you can use to answer many of the most difficult interview questions and objections you might encounter. This technique is known as the STAR technique. STAR stands for: Situation, Task, Action, and Result. The STAR technique is similar to the PEARLs of Wisdom method we have taught earlier in this program and can be applied to most any interview question and/or objection. Whether you choose to use STAR or PEARLs is more up to your individual preference. The benefit to the STAR technique is that it is a more abbreviated way of articulating your expertise.
