Step number two long term goals. So you've reviewed your mission statement, you've documented it, and you even have your values. So you really know deep inside the why you do what you're going to do. Let's get into the what now. So in this section, we're focusing on your long term goals. And as I've explained in the video, by long term, what I mean is first at the bottom, the end of the current year, so for me here, it's 2015.

But it will be whatever year you're working on, it's the end of the current year. Then at the top, I would look at five years from the current year, and in the middle would be some time in between. So this view is very basic. Yeah, it's not really advanced because all it offers you is a few sections. You have purpose, social, financial, community, physical and other. Let me just put this a bit bigger for you.

There you go. So Let me just describe the sections very quickly. These these sections comes from they come from Gallup health wave, Healthways, and they describe well being, according to five key pillars, purpose, covers, work, and any and deliver any type of activity that you invest yourself in that you invest time and effort in, that has some sense of contribution and value. So this is where you could put your career goals, but this is also where you could put any type of particular project that you would like to accomplish. And as you can see, on the right here, you have status, which is just 123. It's just giving you a sense of color.

So you can say, yeah, it's red, Amber or green. And I use this to kind of self assess myself and myself a bit of leverage. So if I have a sense of purpose of either no get a promotion at work by the end of October, for example. And, you know, I haven't had a discussion with my manager yet, and it doesn't seem like it's gonna happen, and it's mid August, I'll probably put myself a red here and say I need to take action. Also notice that there's a deadline here. So I could say, October 2015.

That's it. So, purpose. Social is all your emotional lives or your connections. It's anything with regards to your friends, to your family, and how you live your life socially, financially straightforward. This is where I put my savings plan, how I manage my finances, but also if I want to make some specific or particular income investments or create new revenue streams, it could come here on the financial community is, first of all, everything that relates to housing. So where do I want to leave?

And what are the big goals that I have in terms of my home? Yes. So do I want to buy a house? Do I want to new garden? Do I want to repaint my house? Do I want to buy a new property, it would be under community.

But it could also be bigger than this because it could be where do you live, so which city which country, and it could also be, what type of activities and contribution you want to do for your community. So a bit of social a bit of purpose, but it's up to you to choose where you want to put it. Remember, those sections are not here to force you into using anything in particular, it is more here to offer you some perspectives that you can use to structure your goals in a consistent way and just to make sure that you find You don't forget about one or the other categories physical straightforward this work with my gym my my health, my nutrition, my sleep, my recovery and my physical condition and then I just added one other because you will have specific goals for you that may not fit into one of these categories normally chewed but you may you may choose to use the other piece for some other things really remember this is your life compass Yeah.

So make it convenient for you if you want to rename those categories and for example here you want to say purpose slash career. This this is something you can you can very much do yeah, so I think it's two points one or so. So yeah, feel free it is your life compass. Then you put your your goals here, and you can nuke so I would advise you to do end of year first, then go at the top and start are dreaming and allow yourself to go for the long, very long term. And then looking at those two, you will find some intermediate goals that will just ensure that you are you are on the right track to grow from end of year to five years goals. So that's it for long term.

And as you can see, it's very straightforward. You have your categories, you put your goals in there at the status of the deadline and you're good to go.
