Okay, what I want to do here, before I close out, is I want to share with you some secrets here some real behind the curtain type stuff. You know, I wanted to give this to you as a gift as a way of saying thank you for listening to what I've had to say here, and I'm going to go into something soon, it's gonna really make a difference in your life and help you gain perspective here. The first one is this. You may have heard people talk about a lot how to build an audience, how do I build an audience? Or you notice some people have an audience? Well, how do they have this audience?

What I want to do is give you the structure behind how to build an audience. First one is content. Notice when you're a keynote speaker or presenter, you have a speech. But content is much more than a speech a speech is 45 minutes to an hour could be a day of training. Content is information, its articles, its videos, it's documents. It's information that you can share with the audience who consumed Your information.

Here's your big lesson here. When you get booked to speak, you're trying to you're trying to get hired by a meeting planner. But it is the audience members that buy your books and tapes and materials. The meeting planner is buying you, the audience is buying your books, materials and information. So when you want to build an audience, you have to develop a lot of information that you could feed to them every single day, every single month, or once a month, or once a year. But you have to develop content in order to feed an audience because if you want to build an audience, you have to feed them information.

Number two is a platform you hear people always talk about platform platform, what does that really mean? Well, here's Let me tell you what a platform really is. A platform is your media system. It's how you communicate out and let people know what your content is all about. I use video videos a very powerful way to engage people and to get people to stop pay attention. That's why I'm doing webinars.

Podcasts, that's audio, that's radio, that's blog talk radio, you do interviews, you hear people doing podcasts all the time. That's their platform. Blogs where someone has a blog on their website and they put content up every single day people come over consume it. They finally email. Some people have an email list, and they send out a newsletter. And that newsletter goes out to everyone on their email list on a consistent basis.

No matter which one you like here. This is the platform's. That's what they're talking about. You have to come up with what your platform is going to be, if you're going to have an audience. Now, of course, when you go out and speak, the planter hires you, then you're in front of their audience, but that's your audience. Some of those people are going to want to continue to consume information after your keynote.

So they become a part of your audience. And when they become a part of your audience, they're going to give you their name, email address information, you've got to have a way to keep in connected to them. I use videos I post videos and those videos are watched by my Audience they watch them, they consume them, they respond to them. Some people use podcasts, somebody will have people go to blogs, somebody will just email out their information. But the one thing is, they all have a platform. And it's a consistent platform.

And that's something that you have to have if you want to have an audience. And then finally, distribution. If you're going to distribute your information, you got to be able to have platforms in distributed. So I do I use video, and I can put videos and emails, I post them on Facebook, Twitter, I even there in YouTube, of course, Pinterest, LinkedIn blogs, you know, Instagram, Google Plus. So I post my video and all of these different platforms, these are distribution platforms, where I can distribute my information to my audience. Now, I don't know where my audience is.

In other words, they could be in Facebook, they could be in Twitter, they could be on YouTube. So I've been distributed into all these formats. Then I wait and I watched to see where it's getting consumed the most, where it's getting consumed the most. I know that's where a bulk of my audience is. So that's very Powerful for people to be thinking about. If you're wanting to build an audience, you first have to have a platform, how are you going to communicate with them, the next yet a distributed out so that they can consume it and they can receive it.

That's a very powerful thing. It's something that when it comes to building an audience, it's something that most people don't talk about. But I wanted to share with you really how that works. You've got your content, which is your information, the platform is how you announce it to people. And number three is how you distribute it. Okay.

Now, next thing on here is this is what I call a case study. The reason I'm sharing this case study with you win, because I really want to see you be successful. And I want to see you make money really fast. And I want to show you one of the quickest ways that I made money in the past and how it still works today, and how technology has made it even more profitable today. It's making CDs. When I first got started.

I didn't have any books, any tapes, anything and I said Man, I got to do something to make some money, because I'm going to go broke. And I said, How can I make money fast? Well, the book takes a lot of times, because you got to have, you got to write it out, you got to edit it, you've got to get it bound, you got to get it printed, and you got to do a lot of stuff. Now, nowadays in technology, you still got to write it out, you still got to get it edited correctly. And now you can sell it as an E book. But the fastest, most profitable thing that I've learned is CDs, and physical CDs, because they allow you to do a host of really good things for yourself financially.

So here's what here's here's the steps here to create a CD. I created the CD many years ago, but what I did was I came up with 10 ideas, 10 concepts, 10 tips, whatever you want, on how to deal with change, and I came up with 10 tips on how to deal with change. And I wrote them all out on a piece of paper, and then I recorded them I had a digital recorder back in the day. Nowadays, you can use your phone which is free because you already got a So you can record your 10 tips into an audio device, which is your phone, your phone has a recorder on it. Once they're recorded, you can now download that mp3 to your desktop or to some physical platform where you can see the audio file. Once you've got the audio file on your desktop with the 10 questions on how to be successful, how to manage change, how to reduce stress, how to live well whatever it is, just come up with 1010 tips 10 strategies 10 ideas on how people can be bettering their life record that.

Then, once you've recorded it, save it to your desktop. Now once it's saved to your desktop, go to Fiverr and get a label made. I went over to Fiverr got a label made for it fiber comm they do everything owner for $5 I went over there got a label made. So now I have a label made for five bucks. I wanted the recording done and edited correct So instead of paying five bucks, I ended up paying about $30. But think about it for a moment.

And every sound man is going to charge you 75 to $150 an hour to do this kind of work. I had a one hour CD edited by a sound man professional for $30. So my total cost into this project was $35. Understand, if you got a credit card, you could charge this on your credit card because no your credit card is not due for another 30 days. But let me show you how to get the money back before 30 days shows up. You had your questions, you recorded them on your phone, you haven't turned into they became an mp3 on your desktop.

You send it off to fiber fiber, this person will make a label in less than a less than two to three days. They'll make a label for you based on the design that you want. The audio guy took another four days to do the audio recording because I was Wasn't because I was like, you know, that's really what they take to do this kind of work because they're pretty busy. But you can find someone on there. 35 bucks was all I had wrapped up in this. I turned around because I have an email list.

And you may have an email list of people, just people that you know, and you send them a notification. Hey, everybody, I've got a new CD coming out, because I'm really I'm becoming a professional speaker. I've got a CD called a 10 things for this. And I would love for you to support me in my journey. So you take that design, that the graphic design person, and you put that in your email note, you post it on your Facebook group. That's what I did.

In this particular time. I said, I've got an email list of 312 people. I posted it and sent out an email note to them. I went to Facebook, post it in there into a group with 200 people in it. So my total reach was 512 people. And all I've done so far.

This is the lesson all I've done so far, is I've gotten it recorded. It is being edited right now. And all I have in my possession is the CD label the actual photograph of what's going to be. That's all I've got right now. So I start to send that photograph out with a story around the CD. In other words, hey, check out my new CD is going to help people do this.

And this, I would love for you to support me in this and it because it's really going to help you have a better life. So I'm posting this and telling people about it. I know, went out 512 people who went out to 75 people decided to buy at $20 per CD to understand something here, most CDs, because this is not a CD with songs on it. This is a CD with content on it information is gonna make a difference in people's lives. This is not about entertainment. This is about education.

So you can charge $20 or you can charge 10 if you like, but I charge $20 per CD, because of the content and the value of what I'm going to offer. So I've got 75 buyers who bought at $20 per CD, my gross profit was 1500 dollars. How much did I have wrapped up in this $35 at this point $35 and it's still within the month. So I kept promoting this out to that 512 people ended up getting 75 people that decided that they wanted to buy, which allowed me to make 1500 dollars. Let's do the math. See label cost me five bucks to see the audio editing cost me 30.

I wanted to get these printed, and so I could mail them out to people physically, I didn't want to send them as a digital. I wanted to send them out physical. So I had to get a printer to print the printer charge me $1 per CD. So the total cost was about $75 to get it so I have $75 a printing mailing. I wanted to mail these out to each and every person. So mailing was costing about $2 per CD.

So I have about $150 wrapped up in That total costs $260 for the project, gross profit 1500. I ended up netting $1,240 on a project that came up out of my head. In other words, I thought this up, I had the money before I had this pay anybody understand what I'm saying there? When it comes to the poor man's guide to speaking, you want to sell your ideas in a format people can buy and consume, and then pay for the production of it. But you first want to make sure you've got a sound idea with a sound product, something that people really want and you push that out in front of people when they start to buy now you can fulfill the order what most people will do sequentially speaking is they will wait until they've got the money for the mailing the money for the printing the money for the label the money for the audio instead of doing it the other way around.

In other words, you need to go ahead and sell the concept you're proposing to people to see if there really any interested buyers, when you can identify their interested buyers, then you can go ahead and finish your production and finish your printing and get you have your money for the mailing as well. Now, here's what happens. In this particular case, I netted $1,240, I reinvested $100 $100 in more CDs that were already completed. Now notice I don't have print costs anymore. I don't have any more cost in the sense of like audio editing, or printing of labels, so to speak me to print design, but I do have to print the CDs, but they're all done. So I'm getting charged $1 per CD, so I get 100 CDs that cost me 100 bucks.

Now I have the opportunity at $20 per CD to make $2,000 In other words, I'm selling for $20 and I have 100 CDs. So I have an opportunity here to make quite a bit of money here. I've done this before. And this was very exciting for me to do this small investment, big return like that. That's a poor man's guide to getting something done. You always reinvest back into what you're doing.

If it's working, you reinvest in it again to build up your inventory. Why is that because of these benefits here, you're going to build an audience. By doing this, you will be able to build an audience because you're submitting content out into the marketplace, you are posting things, that means you're building an audience, they're consuming your information, and that builds your audience. Number two, database. Now everybody bought but everyone was in my database at the end. Number three buyers list.

I now have 75 people who are now in my buyers list. That's very exciting now, because those people are on my buyers list. Those are people who could potentially buy more in the future. Number four, because you're out speaking now you might be speaking for free, but you now have something to say In the back of the room, which gives you credibility, which gives you revenue. So even if you're out speaking for free, offering your CD allows people to see that you are an expert, and that you are in business. Five, you have something now that you can post on your website to sell six.

Now this is all about brand and credibility, because now you're the person with that CD on that topic. And number seven, of course, you never know who will listen to the CD and want to give you a referral to a speaking opportunity. All because you produce this simple c d. I've been doing this for years. It is not about your age or stage. It is about you having information that's going to make a difference in people's lives. If you will do this, this simple thing that I've talked about here, you will start to make money.

You know, all you got to do is have something that you want to say that's going to make a difference in people's lives. You record that and you start to produce Do that and you start telling people about it. And you'll be amazed at how people will come towards you and give you money for that information, because you're showing them that you're an expert because you are producing information that is going to make a difference in their life. So let's do a real quick recap here. And I want to thank everybody for hanging in there here with me. You know, secret number one is who?

Who are you? That's what we talked about in the first secret. Who are you keynote or trainer? What are you exactly? You want to be clear on that secret number two, what you need to do, which is the order of things, marketplace, industries, audiences problem solutions. You want to be thinking about your business from that context so that as you create materials, you are creating them in the right order.

And secret number three, where I showed you on the screen where to find speaking opportunities. I showed you the places that I look, bonus was how to make money and also about audiences. I wanted to share with you a quick and simple way when you're starting with another How you can build up some cash and make some money. You know, it doesn't, it takes work, but it takes a person to see it in a certain way to do it. And that's what I was wanting to show you there, I wanted to show you a simple process for doing it and being successful at it. So there you have it.

What I've done in the time that we've had is I'm terrible at the three secrets. I used to build a six figure speaking business using low cost marketing tools and methods. And the reason I had to do this is because I was just like you broke, love funds, tight Money, money, not enough to really chase the dream like you should. This was a way for me to exponentially grow my business from scratch. These were the little things that I did, that made the biggest difference in my growth. And from that I've leveraged those opportunities.

I've leveraged this knowledge over and over again, anytime I wanted to start something. This is how I began. I my mindset was Whatever I do has to make money for itself. And I'm going to do everything I can to nurture it, but it has to produce. So small financial investments, creating big returns over time. Thank you for watching this video.

And as I previously mentioned, please go to the speaker hub comm if you would like to access well over 100 speaking opportunities per month, as you can see, on the screen here, I put it up on the video screen, go to the speaker hub.com and that's where you'll be able to gain access to well over 100 speaking, lead opportunities every single month. Thank you
