Getting To Know Facebook Ads

Hey, welcome back. In this video, I'm going to show you a good place to get started learning about Facebook ads learning about creating your page, creating your ad. And then I'm actually going to show you how to create your ad in the next video. But if you're brand new to Facebook ads, you want to go to facebook.com forward slash business forward slash build. And here you can learn all about Facebook for your business. So basically, you just click here on create a page and create your first Facebook page.

Okay, so your Facebook page is going to be essentially your business page. Okay, so if you've got a personal profile, then you're going to want to create a business page as well. And the reason you want to do this is when you're creating your Facebook ads, you can either send people back to your Facebook page, which is a great place to go the relationship with your customers, it's a great place to capture leads. It's a great place to sell your product if you know you're doing that. Then you can also send to an external page which I'm going to talk about in one of the next videos, where basically you'll just create a blog where maybe you're doing a review of your product, where then you can go ahead and, you know, send traffic to your offer. But you can do either or, okay, and I recommend you having a Facebook page, whether or not you have your own business, or you're just promoting affiliate products.

Just remember the main purpose of your page is going to be to build a relationship with your customers. So a rule of thumb in social media is you always want to, you know, you want to create more value than you pitch. Okay, so about every three to four posts, you can go ahead and put a link to your product or put a link to somewhere, but you don't want to be constantly selling Okay, you're gonna lose membership views, people aren't going to be coming to your page because it's just going to be one big sales pitch. But if you're creating cool quality content, and you can send people to other people's pages, you can go to other people's pages and other find others. content on the internet. And you can talk about that.

Okay, so just remember, if you're on your page, the goal will be to create quality content, and then every now and then to pitch your product. Okay? So here you can learn how to build your page, get all kinds of good information right here. All kinds of awesome stuff about creating your Facebook page. Since this is more about your Facebook ad, I'm not going to get too much into building your page. But there's also great resources on Google to tell you the exact dimensions of the different windows in the Facebook page.

So you can go here to Google and just type in Facebook Timeline dimensions. Here, the first one that pops up, we can click here. And this is a really cool article, he talks about all the different sizes. Okay, so the cover photos 851 by 315 You've got a one ad by one ad here, all these tabs are going to be 111 by 74. And then just gives you all the dimensions for all the pictures. So when you're actually creating your pictures and images that put on your page, you create them to the right specifications that will look nice and streamlined and cool.

Okay, so that's just one tip for that. But you can spend a lot of time playing with your page, just make sure that if you do create a Facebook page that you're not just selling the whole time, then you can come down here and click on connect with people. And this is really going to get into the Facebook ads. Okay, so they've got a lot of awesome tips on here. beyond the scope of this series, you're gonna want to go in here and read all this become very familiar with Facebook ads, you're going to want to read their terms and services, make sure that you're all caught up. I'm actually going to walk you through the process of creating your ads in the next few videos, but I just want you to have this resource So you knew where to go to learn As much as possible, okay, now, don't necessarily come in here and try to become an expert before you take any action.

But it's good to have a place you can go and, you know, get some intricate details on Facebook. I mean, they've got some great video training all kinds of cool stuff, like So down here, it says best practice. You know, when you're running multiple ads in a campaign, they're automatically going to allocate more of your daily budget to your higher performing ads. Okay, so if you're doing a test, you want to make sure that you put your ads in different campaigns, okay? Because the one ad is not doing as well isn't going to get as much of a look. And you don't want that you want to see exactly which one's doing better and how much traffic they're getting on their own.

And then come here and click on engage your audience. And they talked about what I what I just talked about here, post quality content regularly. You want to post at least every day, you want to make sure that you're posting quality stuff.

Okay. One cool thing about social media is, you know, you're gonna be building relationship with your potential customers. Now, some people say, Well, I don't know what to talk about, you know, I don't know, I'm not an expert, I don't really know. Well, that's what the internet's for. You can find all kinds of great information. And you can actually send people to other blogs, don't be afraid to send people to other blogs.

If you send people to other, you know, articles and blogs, even if you didn't write them, you're still going to get credit for sending people places that's being called an aggregator. Okay, you're an aggregator at that point. Although you didn't come up with a lot of the information, you sent people to some great information. And now, you're looked at as the expert, okay. So that's one one way to get experts that without actually being the experts, don't forget that. And then you've got the influence friends of fans, as well.

Okay, so this just talks about encouraging people to interact with your business in different ways you can do that. So go through all this, read all this, they've got some great resources, some success stories, what's new, this is kind of just their, you know, homepage for your business. Okay, especially on building your page if you haven't done that yet. But you're gonna want to go ahead and go through this, build your Facebook page, create your page, and we'll be talking about Facebook pages and my face one of my Facebook pages profit insiders in the next video, but I just want to make sure that you are all set and ready to go. And then in the next video, I'll actually run you through creating the different types of Facebook ads and how to create them and what exactly you can do. And then we'll talk about your landing page, and we'll talk about your ad itself.
