Welcome to the Everyday School Safety course.

This course was designed to prepare each and every school staff member for a multitude of safety concerns. Sometimes, hazards can be right in front of us, and we don't realize how simple it can be to correct them.

Sometimes, we have to respond to emergencies that truly test us. These are the things we hope will never happen in our school. But, they might. They have happened in other schools that are no different from ours. Unfortunately, if we are not prepared, any type of crisis that befalls us will take a greater toll.

In this course, you will learn to create a more positive school climate, prevent access to your building by unwanted persons, help someone who may be considering suicide, and detect signs of potential violence before they escalate to the unthinkable.
