In this video, I want to share with you something that has been extremely powerful for me in the last few months and what we're about to go over. These are called declarations. And this is something that I have not yet worked into any of the better human workshops. So you're getting it here in the online course, before anybody at any workshop has gotten this. I do work with a few one on one coaching clients and I have gone through this exercise with them and every single person has benefited and found this to be a massively powerful tool that I've shared with them. So I'm pretty sure you're gonna love this one.

I'm gonna bet that you have heard of either a vision board or affirmations anything of that nature. manifestations power of thought. And the thing that is so cool about these decorations is that unlike vision boards, unlike affirmations are manifestation. Everything that you write down everything that you say is 100% true about you right now. And really these decorations are sort of the next step that kind of builds on what we've already discussed the higher level thinking the Who are you before the trauma before the distractions without the interference. If we strip away all the masks and facades and shells that have protected us or portrayed us in the right light for the right time, underneath all of that, that there is a core of our existence.

Who we are. And those are what we are going to write in our declarations. And like I said when we write them in the present tense and when we write things that are absolutely true about us when we revisit these 123 times a day, I know some people that do this three times a day personally I do it once a day, and I don't even do it every day I do it maybe five or six times a week. But don't worry I'm getting ahead of myself. We'll go through exactly how you write them and what they are. But these are like I said, 100% true about you right now.

And when we revisit that when we check in with who we are multiple times a day or every single day, we are getting in touch with that version of us. Look for all the drama and trauma and whatever. On the other hand, with vision boards or affirmations, or manifestation. While on the surface, it seems powerful to look at what we want, what we're really doing. Every time we look at these vision boards every time we look at our affirmations, we're doing two really dangerous things. Number one, we are putting power in things in material things outside of us.

I'll be happy when I have this pool. I'll be happy when I live in that house or drive that car. I'll be happy when I have this much money in my bank account. I'll be happy when I've done this thing. Blah, blah, blah, right. That's the first thing.

The second thing is when you really examine every single example statement I just gave you What do I not have in this moment, I lack all the things that I think will bring me happiness. So with vision boards with affirmations, every time we reread them every time we look at them, all we do is reinforce what we don't have, we reinforce what we lack. We reinforced the negatives. And I just, I really, I see people struggle with this all the time, and I don't want you to fall into that trap. So I know some people that use them, I know some people that have, you know, that find fuel, or even motivation from using affirmations or vision boards, but I will caution you that that motivation doesn't last right we've, we've kind of danced around this and talked about this, but you know, it's part of feelings.

It's part of those fleeting things that we're going to get into in the next section. You know, I want you to be anchor to tied to checking in with your values, these things that are unflappable and don't go anywhere. I want your actions to be aligned with and reflective of who you are, what your values are, not what your feelings are or your level of motivation. So on with the decorations. I'm going to show you two right here. So the first one is I'm not going to read you this one.

This is my coach and mentor and friend, Paul Reddick. I have his he gave me his as an example. This was an exercise that was shown to him and something that you know, has been very impactful for both of us and so based on his you know, I have mine here and I'm going to read you a few of them. It really doesn't matter. You know what mine are. I'm going to read you a couple so that you get an idea.

I'm a powerful being filled with love and light. I am at my happiest when I'm living in and sharing This loving light, I am strong, resilient, driven and reliable. I'm a person who can be counted on and trusted. I am a leader, not from ego, but through my actions and energy to lead myself. I play up to my strengths, I do not shrink, I do not play small in order to fit. Okay, so I'm gonna stop there.

And even on that last one, it gets a little dangerous. It says I don't do blah blah, blah. We want to write these in the present and affirmative tense right I need an English major or writing person but I am committed to I do this, I am this I have this right. When you write yours, understand that it may take a couple of iterations to get to the final version that you want to keep, right. So as you go through this exercise, just be patient and You know, write down, take 1020 minutes to write down what is true for you. But, you know, maybe check back in with it in a day or two or more in a week or two and feel free to make changes, you know, multiple versions of this, to get it right for you because it is so powerful and you are repeating these things every single day.

The mistake that I see a lot of people make when they do these decorations, is to say, you know, I don't do this or I don't do this or when we when we say that it goes back to the vision board or the affirmations where we're reinforcing what we don't want to do. We don't want to bring that negativity or that gap or that, that leeway or wiggle room to rationalize things. So if you struggle with that, feel free to share your decorations with me and I will help you make sure that they are in the right tense. But you know, the thing Keep in mind is that they should be, you know, I am, I am i have i do this is, you know, whatever. So, in the present tense, true for you, always true for you read it, check in with it and reinforce, you know who you are at the core of your being every single day.

So, that's decorations. Take some time, write them, make sure they're true for you, and check in with them very frequently, multiple times a day or at least once a day. see in the next video.
