Seek high performance, not peak performance. Peaks, by definition, are short term spikes preceded - and followed - by lower levels of whatever quality is being measured. Life is chaotic and unpredictable. High performance is built on the ideology of not trading tomorrow for a better today, and more importantly, elevating our baseline and being prepared for whatever (and whenever) life may throw at us.
