Welcome to the coach's brain MRI and the whitespace build and implement module. Today we're going to review whitespace the techniques for connecting to it and how you can actually fit it into your weekly schedule. Because whitespace What is it? So it's actually two things. It's the quiet you experienced with anything and everything is possible. So that creative space we created in the experience module.
It's also something else. It's also time when you have nothing physically planned in your calendar. Nothing planned to do your opening. into whatever comes. So let's explore these and how we implement them into our day to day lives. So let's just review Why do we want to connect the brain hemispheres for whitespace, which would be a great place to start connecting the two sides of the brain with the hidden management, what it does, it blurs the lines between the logic and creation space, it opens up our mind to all possibilities.
Because even in the logic space, there can be patents that we need to be able to tap into the creative side of who we are. And like you may recall me saying in the other module, why operate by hands. Now, if you don't like moving your head side to side, that's okay. Because guess what, I have a solution to that. You may not like this one either. But if or if you physically can't move your head, side to side, you can do a writing exercise.
So what this is, is with your right hand, you're right, I love you 25 times, then you'll swap to your left hand and right, I love you 25 times. And you keep doing that for five minutes, how many minutes or you say, five. So you need to set the timer. So this will help you connect both sides of your brain because we're quite naturally predisposed towards writing with one particular hand. Now, just so you know, you won't need to do this every time you connect, want to connect your hemispheres of your brain over time, the simple act of moving your head side to side for a few minutes will remind the brain to connect and the simple act of maybe just spending 30 seconds or a minute writing. I love you with the left hand and the right time.
You we'll remind your brain, okay, cool time to connect. Because this is where the power of intention then steps in. So you need to ask yourself, do you want them connected? I'd say yes. Now that had a mentor actually tell me that he now has both sides required, and sit up and tuned in enough to stay in that space of logic and creation connection. So when you do this a few times, well, consistently, your brain will stay in space.
And how cool is that? To be able to tap into both sides of your mind. So how it works for you is the best way for you. You can do the head turning, you can do the writing, you can potentially even play with both. test it out and see what works. Because when you're taking the time to use this in your own work, or asking the question, how do I make this fit in this This way, you can then start to create amazing creative ideas and concepts that are logic based, that will help you fast track your business results.
And when you teach this to your clients, you can then help them as well. But now it's time to talk about the implementation. So white space for creativity with those two hemispheres of the brain connected, what do you do with it? When do you use it? So I suggest you leave blank spaces in your diary. Because a you've got space if something urgent comes up to be able to take action on it.
If you book back to back to back to back to back. It doesn't allow much flexibility into your day. But if you have white space in your diary, you can be like, Okay, cool. I've done my call. I've done my check. I've got a couple of hours.
Let me move My head side to side for a couple of minutes and tap into that space. What's the problem I need to solve? What's something I need to create? Is there a module I need to build for my business? This is where blank space or white space in your diary allows you space to thrive. Now, I'm going to put a little thing in here.
If you've watched the productivity modules, you would have already heard me talk about pomodoro. If you need a little bit of restructuring and management, all that white space time, do a pomodoro. Now have you ever wondered why time is the maid in the shape of little tomatoes? That's because it's a pomodoro tomato. That's why they called pomodoro. I actually have a pomodoro tomato timer that I use when I want to do one of these.
So how does it work? Let me explain. You want to set the timer for 15 to 25 minutes, depending on On your focus, what you need to do it cetera, et cetera. But in that time you focus on one task only. So if you've got this creative idea to build something amazing for your business, set that for that 15 to 25 minutes, you only work on that one thing. It allows your mind to focus and to utilize this white space to its maximum potential.
So when the timer goes off, stop what you're doing even if you're mid sentence, mid icon, design mean, whatever. Stop, take a break. Now some people recommend you take a break for five minutes. For some people, they say all you need to do is stand up stretch. That's the break that your brain recognizes. And then you can go into your next pomodoro there's no right or wrong in that do what works for you.
But what it does, it teaches the brain To work in focused chunks. So by rewarding yourself with little breaks, and I reward myself with social Facebook breaks, or in that five minutes, I'll go down and get a drink. And I might pet my cat or just have a couple of minutes out in the sunshine, whatever it is. And I set my timer for five minutes, so I don't go over the break. But what it does it make sure it makes you feel like you're not missing out on anything, you get the work completed well, and you'll actually naturally start to build more work into the process. So if your brain is going, I've got 25 minutes to do this.
The focus will allow you to get so much more done in that time. Because we fill the time that we have with the task at hand. That's why pomodoro is so powerful. Now to share it with your clients. Start by doing the space in the planner, teach them the Pomodoro now as your work History The binary, I'll be sharing with you how to build your own induction and guided visualization processes. So then you can start taking clients through a process to connect with the left and the right movement of their head.
But to start start implementing some of the practical things with your clients. Now, that's all for the whitespace modules. Until next time, have fun playing with your creativity.
