And welcome to another module of the coach's grainery. Today we are going to have a look at the amazing thing known as reverse goal setting. So what is reverse goal setting? You might be wondering, you've heard of smart goals, create goals. I've even talked about stop goals. today.

It's Grover's goal setting. Now I love reverse goal setting because what it does, it actually keeps you in the moment of the feeling that you want to feel in your life. Other forms of goal setting put the goal achievement out in the future. So you feel like you're constantly striving for this thing you in six months time I've got to have this I want that thing over there. And sometimes it can actually really feel like hard work to achieve the goal. So when we do reverse goal setting, we tap into the feeling of what we want to feel.

And by doing that, and creating certain actions, we will be in the space constantly and before you know it, we will create the goal. It's a really unique way of goal setting, the Benjamin J. Harvey taught me, he has been a fantastic mentor mentor. Now it's as simple as picking a feeling, tying it into an action and then future pacing, this consistent action to see what it will create for you in maybe six months or 12 months time. So I always show you things that I've tested and I've worked on or use with clients previously. And my action was a wealth goal with this. So when I did it, I went from having no savings to very quickly having thousands of dollars saved in the bank, because the small action that I set had a bit of a momentum building snowball effect.

Now, when I stopped the process, and my money mindset wasn't fit, like to keep the money saved, the money ended up getting spent but it showed me that this process and combined with other processes really can have a huge impact on your life. So go to me for not actually working on my money mindset while I was doing this goal, but you know up, I know for next time, so today, you're going to experience setting a reverse goal. Now, there's a difference between achievement and fulfillment. achievement sets what you're wanting in the future, whereas fulfillment is what you experience every moment in your day to day life. Now, I'm going to use A gym example for you, right? If you have a goal at the gym, to be able to do 500 push ups in 20 minutes, what you're going to do, you're going to be so focused on the achievement of the goal, that you actually stopped listening to your body for feedback.

So your body may be telling you, you're pushing too hard, you can't do this. You don't this don't This isn't good. You ignore it because that goal out in the future keeps you striving. And that's why so many people end up with injuries in the gym. So because you're not listening to the warning signs, right, you're just going after this thing you're pushing and pushing, pushing, because what's happening in your present no longer gets acknowledged. Because what achievement focus does, it actually takes you from a human being, being in the moment and turns you into a human doing.

Excuse me, or if Human having. So just think about that for a moment. achievement doing this is a human being. Right? Now, what I want you to do is to sit back and relax today, because I'm going to show you how to experience the feeling of fulfillment every day. And we're going to sit a reverse goal for you.

So fulfillment Would you like to spend your days feeling fulfilled, that when you're taking the actions, daily actions, you're feeling good and you're not feeling the stress and the pressure of aiming for something in the future. Now, when you're doing this for yourself from when you're doing this with clients, you would sit back in you would pick one that's right for you, but for depth today in this module, we're going to work on a particular Feeling feelings gonna be success. Now what I want you to agree now I can't hear you. But what I want you to agree with whatever comes up for you. There is no shame, no fear, no guilt or judgment around whatever it is that success means to you. So sit back and trust the process.

Like I said, we're going to do success. But remember, when you want to do this for other areas of your life, you might go, I want to feel more confident, I want to feel more wealthy, which is what I did with the money goal. I want to feel woke. I want to feel more in control. I want to feel like I'm a winner. However it is for you remember, no shame, no fee, no guilt, no judgment.

So what I want you to think in regards to the feeling of success, whatever activity could you do today or tomorrow or in the next tweak that will easily allow you to experience the feeling of success, to feel successful. So what I want you to do here is write something down just something small. If you did it every week, you would feel successful. A little think. But if you want to So writing to write down because I'm gonna ask you that question again. What's something that you can do today, tomorrow or in the next week that will easily allow you to experience the feeling of success?

Some small activity pattern another two or three things so you've got like three or four things to pick from. Could be doing five client calls, calling five plays, it could be I think the example we're going to use is do You book work once week, whatever that is. write those down. Because guess what the next question is? Pick one of those things and circle. A little thing.

Go through them doesn't have to be a huge activity. It needs to be something that you can do every week for maybe the next three 612 months, some small activity for success. It could be that you go and get a coffee, treat the takeaway coffee once a week, that's your truth because you know that you're successful enough in your business that you can afford that or a nice dinner out. Once a week, pick one of those things, whatever it is for you, no shame, no feeling of guilt or judgment. circle it. Alright, I'm going to trust that you've got one.

My example imagine you choose to do your bookkeeping once a week, right? But my question to you is If you were to regularly to the activity that you circled for 12 months, what is it going to create for you in your life? Because imagine after 12 months of doing your bookkeeping every week, and being focused on your income, do you think that would help you create a more focused approach to handling your money, you would handle it better, you feel a lot smarter about it, you'd be able to measure your success by the dollars and the income coming into your account. You know, just pick one of those things. I really, really love it, if you could share it in the group. What you've chosen, because, you know, whatever it is pick something that's simple to do.

Because like I said, with my money goal, it was saving $50 a fortnight now. I was only working part time my other business was failing dramatically. All over the Place, it wasn't earning enough to pay me an income. So I was working part time training jobs here and there is quite scattered. But saving $50 a fortnight in a specific account, all of a sudden, after like three months time, I had like three and a half thousand dollars because it created the energy of the focus of the wealth and the feeling of fulfillment. And suddenly there was extra money and I could save more.

This is the power of reverse goal setting. So another example could be confident. What activity could you do today, tomorrow in a week, that's easily going to allow you to experience the feelings of confidence. It might be posting something on Facebook once a week, like a personal story, or going out and doing your hair and your makeup and taking yourself out for lunch on your own or going to the movies by yourself whatever that is And once again, it's the same thing, write a few things down, pick one that's simple to do at least once a week. And then we future pace the benefits. So if you regularly dressed up, looked after yourself and took yourself out once a week, what would be the snowball effect?

You know, once a week, you could go to a meetup group. For example, get yourself go to a meetup group should practice my own preaching here. Imagine if you did that for a year, you'd be more confident talking to people, talking to people about your work, you'd make new friends, you'd make new work connections, you'd probably get more clients, I'd be honest, we can have a wealth goal as well. People will get to recognize who you are. And that feeling of confidence of being able to go into a room and talk to strangers that's going to travel out into all areas of your life because it will become a part of your nature. Like seriously, isn't that like the coolest thing like when I get off recording this call and Going to set a reverse goal.

Now I want you once again to ask yourself the question, what's something that I could do once a week? That's really simple to do. That would help me feel more confident. Write the things down, pick one off your list, future pace it, what? Where's it going to get you in the future? It's a really simple way to create a goal and create results, because you're actually doing the action steps and being fulfilled in that moment.

So the feel the fulfillment is there, so it's not set out in the future. So you're living in the moment of the wish fulfilled. So can you see the difference between putting a goal in the future as opposed to living consciously and present every waking moment of your life? And like I said, when you do it consistently, the results tend to snowball. So guys, please Go and go and practice this, you are the best person to be able to give examples to your client of how this works. I encourage you as with all of the modules in the brainer, wherever you can do it on yourself, use it for yourself, test it out, and then you have the confidence to be able to go out and share these tools with your clients.

Now, there will be a script for you to be able to download, it just takes you through the reverse bill sending steps really easy. Some clients, of course, are going to want to stick to Oh, no, no, no, I want a SMART goal. Thanks. I've worked with somebody around a reverse goal setting and this person just didn't get it didn't want to do it. wanted the smart ball. And that's fine.

You probably get about 20 25% of people but on average, you'll go Yeah, no, no, yeah. And that's fine. Do a smart go with them. But just The thumb get into the door of this goal as well, just so they can see the difference. Anyway, test it out on yourself for three months. Let me know how you go share it in the brain, right?
