Okay, my friend Welcome back. In this video we are going to talk about the Facebook cover photo. It seems pretty simple at first, but you do want to keep some things in mind that I will point out for you to make it a lot easier so you don't have to keep redoing it. So what we're going to do is login and then come up to create a design. And they already have a template ready for you. So we'll just scroll down to social media and email headers, and we're going to go to Facebook cover photo.

So as usual, here are all of the layouts that you can use. They're pre made for you so you could just plug in your photos or you could plug in whatever text you want. But these aren't always going to be the best idea because this is a paid design because you can see the graphic behind it. But this is going to be probably get cut off because of the call to action buttons that go right here. So you want to keep this in mind as you're designing where you're placing text and pictures, so that you don't have to go back and do it over again. So I'm going to start with a blank page here, so that we can create our own.

Now, when you're creating your Facebook cover, it depends on what you're doing it for. If you're going to create it for your page, you want to make it a little bit more of a business Look, if you're doing it personal, then you could put whatever you want on it to appeal to people personally. So let's do one for a business since you're probably doing something for your blog or your art business, or whatever you'd like. What we can start off with here is going to uploads I always like to put a background up. Now I have a lot of artistic backgrounds, which would fit my style because I am an artist and people will probably come to my page Looking for that. So what I'm going to do is click on this picture and insert it into my background.

I'm going to use this little arrow right here and rotate the picture. And then I'm going to stretch it to make it the same size as the Facebook cover photo. Now this is gonna make for a very busy background. So what I'm going to do is go to the filter. And I'm going to brighten it up a little, but kind of tone it down so it gives a little bit of a muted background. I'm just going to move it around.

So kind of gives some interests with these little objects. So then here we have the background. What we can do next is a few things either bring in a logo might look a little funny because it does have the white background. That's one way or we could actually just recreate it with our own text elements. So what you would do is just click on text, insert a text box and put in my name because that's my business name. And then just use the grid to center it right there.

And I use Sanchez. So we'll just pop that in right there and then stretch it out. And then the next thing is to add the headline. You want to add any kind of tagline so people can recognize you. Mine is create your art, create your life. Just add in a little comma and then center it again.

And I like to use a little bit of a very text for that. And I will make it a little bigger to stand out. These are all different things that you could play with. Put in a line And change the color. And then if you grab the upper corner here and pull it down and then get the arrow to go sideways, you could stretch it out. So give a little distinction between your name and the tagline.

Again, you don't want to get too crazy because you're going to have a lot of information on your page. You just want to give them an idea of who you are and what you do. Next, I would probably put in a few pictures of my artwork. So maybe you'd want to put your art or your products, whatever it is, the way you would do that is go to elements and go to grids. And then I'm going to put in three, three basic pictures. And I'm going to stretch it out.

Now you want to be careful when you're putting in anything on the lower part of Facebook photo because the call to action buttons are down here. So you don't want to get anything covered up. So we'll just do something small. And I'll go to my uploads I already uploaded a few pictures. Here's your library right here. And I'm just gonna click and drag and bring a few photos into the grid.

And then if you want to adjust them, you can always double click on the picture and just kind of drag it around to where you like it. You can also use a filter so if you click on the picture, go up to filter. If you feel like it's a little dark and you want to brighten it up, you can go to festive that's always a little brighter, and it kind of brightens the picture up. This one looks like it's fading into the background. So I am going to use a filter on it. Try to brighten it up a little.

And as you use it, you'll get familiar with all the filters and which ones interests you. So here is a basic creation, you can tweak it any which way you want, the call to action buttons will go down here. So that leaves enough room. And also you want to keep in mind that most of the people that are viewing your work online on Facebook are actually mobile users. So you want to keep the name and tagline a little closer to the middle and also not too far from the edges because they have different dimensions. If you keep the dimensions about one third on each side in as you can see the amount here that will keep it enough so that you could see it on mobile clearly.

And maybe you want to make this a little smaller to be even. So that people will be able to see that as well. So we don't have any covering the buttons down here, we're showing some artwork, we have our name and the tagline. And then this is where your profile picture will go. So the best idea is to keep the image simple with a clear focal point. And also, you don't want to hide any text behind your profile picture.

Because then clearly, they won't be able to see it. There are plenty of images Also, you can use for your background on sites like pixabay, or pixels. There's a bunch of different free websites that you can use pictures for free. Another thing is you don't want to use any arrows. So if you were to have a call to action, you were to put in a text element over here and say, join my list for your email list. If you were to do that over here, and then put an arrow pointing down to your buttons, people on mobile won't be able to see that it'll show up kind of funky.

So you don't want to do that. If you include a call to action in Your photo here, say, if you do want people to join your email list, you can say in your photo description. So when you save your cover photo picture in Facebook, it shows up as an actual picture. So in the description, you could put any kind of call to action there and people will be able to follow it. So those are the basics for the Facebook cover photo, you can get really creative and don't be afraid to show your personality because this is what people are going to see when they come to your page. I'll see you in the next video.
