Hey there friends. Welcome back. In this next module, we're going to create a basic pin for Pinterest. It's a fabulous search engine, so it's a great way to be found. So let's scroll down. We're in the main menu.

And we'll go to Pinterest graphic. And as you can see, here's the workstation around here and the layouts over here. And you can always scroll through these to get some inspiration. Today we're going to create a pin on how to start your day peacefully. So what I'm going to do is search for beach because when I think of starting the day peacefully, I think of the beach. It's just a personal preference, and there's a great picture.

So what I'm going to do is just resize it. Stretch the corners. And as you can see, there's a filter that you can use here. So you can play around with that. You can use the intensity to boost it up a little. You can make it grayscale and the background creates something colorful in the front.

A little retro. There's all different filters you can use. I'm just going to stick with the normal and you can just see how the brightness changes. Contrast. That's always an option. And then when you do create a filter, there is a number for the actual filter down oops, see the Advanced Options.

Your number right here will show all the different options that you've chosen. So when you save it, see The number changed at the bottom. It's hard to see it won't let me it's a not a big enough screen to show. But you can actually put in that number and get the exact filter that you've used previously. So I'm just going to reset this to zero. And here we are with a beautiful picture.

Now what I'm going to do is go to elements and go to shapes. And I'm going to insert a square. And then I'm just going to size it to what I think might look good. Now it looks a little dark. We don't want it to be quite that non transparent. So we're going to go up to this little transparency icon and pull it down a little so we can see that beautiful water through.

The next I'm going to go over here and click on text You can change you can use any of these. If you'd like to get a little fancy, very easy to use, you just click on it, and it inserts it right in there. But I'm just going to go for a basic heading, click on heading, and I'm going to put in 10 ways. I'm going to press enter to start, enter again, your day, enter again peacefully. So I'm going to pull it up, and I want to make it bigger. So I'm going to click on let's see what 64 looks like.

We can make it a little bigger. Try 72 that looks great. Then I'm going to change the font to Sanchez. Cuz that's what I usually use. And then I'm going to do Ctrl x. I'm going to highlight peacefully and then hit Ctrl X to delete it. Because I want to use a little variation in the fonts.

I'm going to click heading again add heading to add another text box, hold it down and then I'm going to click Ctrl V which is paste and then change the font to period Piru. And then I'm going to make it bigger. So what was this fun we'll click on that 72 so let's click on this we'll make this 72 and then I just want to click on the 10 ways to start and make sure it's centered in the way you do that is you kind of move it back and forth. As soon as you see that center line, you know that textbox is centered. And then again, we'll do it with peacefully move back and forth. There you go, it's centered.

So I'm going to make this a little smaller. And we're going to change the color of peacefully to draw a little more attention to it. So again, we just highlight it, go up to the color palette. Let's try the pink. See how that looks. That looks nice.

And then of course, I'm going to brand the pin. So I'm going to click on Add subheading and then bring it down. We're going to center it. And then I'm going to put in my website, because that's where it's going to bring them when they click it. And since that textbox is already selected, I'm going to go up to the color palette. and change it to white so it really stands out.

Okay, that's it. There's your basic pin 10 ways to start your day peacefully, you can do a lot of different things, you can change the background color of the box, you can make this a little less bright with the filters, you can change the colors of the fonts, you can highlight this and make the line height a little smaller. And then makes the box a little smaller can change the color of the font for your branding, pretty much anything you could just get creative and put your own stamp on it so that people can recognize your pins. So just as a final step, you want to rename it. This is already 10 ways to start your day. And then go to File and Save.

I always like to save one last time before I downloaded Just to make sure all the changes were saved, and then you just download and that is your basic pin.
