Hey there, and welcome back, we are going to go through this module of creating a blog graphic from scratch, we're not going to use any pre made layout so that you can see how to create something on your own for a specific design that you're thinking of. So what we're going to do, obviously, is login first, and then we're going to just use social media so that you can kind of post it in all different places. So we click on that, and I'm going to show you what we're going to create first so you can kind of see how it's constructed. I designed this 10 cheap ways to travel in Europe. And I'm going to show you how to create this because this is a common format that people use kind of a little Overlay and then a good catchy title to get people interested. So we'll go back to our workspace.

What I'm going to do first is do a search for the background. Okay. I'm going to put a motorcycle. I kind of liked how that little Italian moped looked. There it is. So all you do is when you have a free picture, click on it, and it automatically will bring it into your workspace.

So this is a little bit of a different size than what we're working in. So what you can do is just stretch it, which you click on the corner and it says resize and you just keep pulling it until it's the size that you want. And it fits into the square can either do that, or you can also crop it. So what we can do is resize it, and then just crop it to fit whatever part of the picture that you want to show. That's just kind of a different idea. So I'm just going to use the entire picture in the workspace.

Okay, so that about covers the toolbar covers a little bit of it. So that about covers it I like I like how the moped looks so I'm gonna kind of just fit it in there. Okay, so the next thing we want to do is get that overlay look. So the way you do that is go to elements. And then you're gonna go to shapes. And these are all different shapes that you can use.

You could actually do different sizes, different patterns of shapes, whatever you want. But I want to stick with a basic square for this one, just to show you how it's done. Okay, I'm gonna make it a little smaller. Now, that is a little dark because we can't see the moped through the shape. So what you do is you go over here to this little icon, and it's called transparency and it will make the shape a little more. See through So just to add to what you're comfortable with 50 looks pretty good to me.

And there you have it. So now we have a basic box to put our text in. So now what we're going to do is go to text and here you can see the three different sizes of texts that you can add. And you also have all these different styles of texts you can add as well. So that's always an option too. So I'm just going to add heading and going to use Sanchez because that is the style of script that I like to use and 10 cheap ways to travel to Europe.

Okay, so what we're going to do is pull the textbox in, just click on it and pull it over with your mouse and then pull it up and you see those little lines that shows that it's centered in the textbox. So this looks a little small. I'm gonna highlight it. I'm gonna highlight the entire thing, say and then make it about 64.

Okay, that looks pretty good. I want to make sure to Europe is on the lower line because here it is on the lower line. And I'm actually going to just delete that because I want to put that different font in there. So we're going to go back to text, put another heading. And then I'm going to just paste that in there. I actually copied it instead of deleting it.

I want this font to be a little more pronounced. So I'm going to use like a script. It was kind of when to use varying fonts. So that looks different. So let's try playlist script. Okay, that looks pretty good.

Let's make it big. And I'm going to change the color. So the way you change the colors you go up here, here are all different default colors you could use. But I like to use my color from the palette that I normally use, which is ff 0066. That's a hot pink that I like. I just press Enter.

And there it is. You see in the box there that they're using that. Alright, so what I'm going to do is center this test. box with the line right there. And then we're going to center this text box. Just move it around until you see the line.

And then another little trick is if you don't like how this is spaced out, see how it's kind of, there's a lot of spacing in between each line, you can highlight the lines and go to text spacing up here on the toolbar. And you see right here it says line height. All you do is click on it and pull it back and that'll decrease the line height. See it says exactly what it is right here. So it looks about good to me. And then I'm going to just move this up.

Get out of here. so that it matches to that. There it is. So the only thing left is to make sure we brand any kind of graphic that you make. So we're going to do so Heading, and then I'm going to put my website in there Stephanie Martel calm. And then I'm going to just pull it down here.

I'm going to change the color because you can't really see that very well. Right. So let's click on here, the color palettes. Let's see what white looks like. Hmm. Maybe we'll try the hot pink.

Seems like it's showing through a little better. So that's it. So there is a basic graphic. After you're totally done, go to File, Save. And then you can download it as either JPEG, PNG or PDF, depending on what you're using it for. There you go your basic graphic.
