Hey, it is Clinton unmarshal back here for week five of your initial 90 day induction. And this week we are talking all about money timelines. So money timeline is something that I created as part of this whole program I've created purely because we have really memorable and poignant experiences that happen with our finances, and they have a real impact on who we are and what happens moving forward. And sometimes we don't actually think of them in the way that we could do in the context of them having that big impact. So this week is all about you actually mapping out your money timeline. Now in the workbook, you have got an example of a mini timeline and you can do it on the computer if you want to what I've really created to do is get a big piece of paper, some colored pens, and to actually draw this out on a piece of paper and hand write it out.
And you know to do this connect with what is going on with you and your experiences with with money because that is where you really get to get power. So what I want you to do is I want you to quiet your mind again, take a few minutes, go back to the earliest memory and start mapping out for you what has happened in your life with money. It may be that some things don't come up straight away, maybe that you need to kind of leave some gaps and add some things in because there can be some glaring things that are going to come straight out. And when we talk about things here, we're talking about all sorts of things to do with money. Like for example, when you got married, did you spend a lot of money on your wedding? I know with some of our members, there's one particular that said you know, kind of looking at the position I'm in now and where I'm building back up again, I spent a lot of money on my wedding and in hindsight, I would have A little bit differently.
So this is all about you really starting to pay attention to things that stick out where you have spent money where you've done various different things. And where you, you know, really can start to see things that you've done in your life that have gotten really connotation to them, some of them might not be so obvious, and some of them will be more obvious. Some of them could be connected to things like you know, a graduation and the fact that actually when you graduated, for example, you realize that there was a lot of debt left from you, the years that you'd had a school University, and those sort of things. So this is one of those ones where you may be a work in progress on it, it could be that you start it and then you know, once you've planted this seed like with anything, you can start to think about this a little bit more.
So there will be other things that come up. So Once you've done it, put it up somewhere visual. So you can keep adding to this and you can be reminded of it. And this is, again, there's no right or wrong with this exercise. This exercise is very much about you really drawing on your own experience. Once you've completed the exercise, what I want you to do then is just look to see if there are any links with kind of places that you were in your life, things that you think are really relevant with what you've looked at here.
And I want you to have a look at it and then start to formulate some ideas around what you would like to do differently going forward in this particular area. It's a really super quick little video for you this week for this particular task, but this is one that I do want you to spend some time on couple of hours initially. And then as I say put it up so more visible so you can keep revisiting this and come back to it and really start to pull together, what your experience with money has been And then you can start to formulate some ideas around what you would like that timeline to look like in the future which will be a super exciting part of this whole thing. So, go and do the work. Let's get it done and I'll catch you next week for the next one.
