Welcome back. This is the second bonus video and this time we will be talking about mind maps. And we will be using a mind map in order to work on the list of company names that we've talked about working on in the section about how to improve productivity during meetings. So if you don't know a mind map is a way of organizing thoughts and ideas. And we will be using one to organize our names and get ideas for additional names. Now, this is what a mind map usually looks like.

It usually starts here in the middle. There aren't any specific ways of creating a mind map. You can think of the middle as the most important part. You can think of it as The objective or a question that you're trying to basically answer using these elements around it. The idea of the mind map is that it helps you organize thoughts and ideas into categories. So if you've got an element here in the middle, let's say regarding ecological relationships, right, this is what it says.

You can then move on into other sections. So, if we've got animals, for certain species, or animals that are, let's say, extinct, or animals that are self sufficient, and so on and so forth. So it's really helpful when you want to organize a large number of ideas or you want to come up with a large number of, of names and you don't To know how because staring at a blank page is the worst thing you could possibly do. So we'll be using this little tool here, which is in, in the toolbox from Google Drive, so you do have access to this. Once you've opened it up, I like this because it allows you to work on a mind map without having any restrictions. Since you're in the free Google product.

Let's start with a textbox in the middle, let's say company names, right. So this is the idea that we're trying to work on and you can move these around. All changes are saved automatically in the crowd is saying here, bang, all changes saved in Drive. And once you move this around, you'll notice that there are some red lines. This will help you center things If you're really add like me, you really want to have things really center. So then what you can do, what I usually do is I just copy these these things a few times.

And I'll show you just what I'll do with all of them. I basically need more text boxes for the categories of ideas. I don't do want to create things from from scratch. So I just move these around, like so. And now I've got bound from the initial idea of company names. I have already I already got a 660 category six category ideas that I could be working on.

So let's move this a bit more with enlarge this, we know that this is definitely the middle and we'll center it. Right this then we can say we need things with animals. We need things that are maybe four We need things that are national. We need things that are are short things, names that are catchy, and perhaps things regarding history, right. So we have these sections here and what we can do, again is add shapes. So this is where this little tool here really, really shines.

Let's go ahead and create sections for each of these. And you'll notice that this goes on top of the text. So what you need to do is a go right click on this, go to order and then send them back. And once you have this section, make sure you're actually selecting the blue one. So the rectangle, copy and paste it and then you have it here. You can also use you can order To send back or Send Backward, sent to back, we'll move it to the most, back there.

So the one at the very, at the very last. And you do that a few more a few more times in order to have these sections organized. And if you're using these, these two on a constant basis, or if you're using these, these types of mind maps often, you can definitely save this as a file that you have it and you can save it as a sort of a template that you can use for multiple, multiple files that you will be using along the way. So we have these, it doesn't matter people usually I've seen people struggle with these because they want to have everything perfect sort of arranged. That's not the point right? The point is Have these as as simple as the as you can but also kind of organized you know that these are coming from this and then you can just start working on them let's say company name.

Good company name let's see what that could be. That could be burgers Rex. So right from the from the dinosaur plays that around here we can copy and paste that we can have something like shark on Shark cause Saurus burgers right again with burgers if we're talking about something regarding food and you can use these elements here to just simply organize organize your ideas into into better looking files that you can go back to Later, as a hey, yeah, I remember how to create how to come up with company names. And obviously you can do this on in your Google Drive, you can do this on a piece of paper, you can do this in a bunch of different ways. Just remember that this is one of the ways that you can can do is let's try and figure out something regarding history maybe. Let's say something about company name, a White House.

Burgers, maybe this could be one. We're not sure if we're allowed to use that. Or Lincoln, Lincoln, right, maybe Lincoln like this. And we use these, sort of push these around. And once you you're really getting the hang of it, you'll find that it takes you less time I overtime, you'll really get good at these. And obviously, you can save these as templates and you won't, it won't take as much time as it did before.

And we've looked at how to organize things. Obviously things are saved in the cloud. So you can definitely use these elements in the future.
