So you don't have to have a very complex background like I do mine cost like thousands of dollars to set up. I have obviously, expensive I DIA's and things that I like to use to express myself and show Oh, this is you know what I'm into books I'm reading right now and all this different stuff. In fact, sometimes this can be confusing in the wrong scenarios, because there's so much going on. Sometimes you guys get hypnotized even by that, for training. I love having this always going as much as possible, because I think it keeps us zoned in and what I'm saying and it goes into your unconscious, but you don't have to do it. You don't have to get that complicated.
In fact, for less than 50 bucks, you can get a very professional background. And here's my hack we're going to do is order a lemo Studio. It's basically a backdrop support system that's going to allow you to connect different things to the background, and you can get them used for usually under $30 Amazon's warehouse like to go, you can get them on eBay even also, then you're also going to get a microfiber Amazon basics Queen black sheet. That's $20. So again, there's everything under 50. And I'm going to explain why it's so important to have black.
And how effective actually a black background is. In fact, there's times I have this and I've ordered it myself. And believe it or not, I use a black bedsheet as well. And it just actually works better. It has a nice sheen because of the microfiber. So I personally like it.
And I use that sometimes to block out this background when I'm doing specific trainings, especially high level trainings, where I need people to focus you know, they've paid me 12 or $25,000. So I need to focus on everything I'm saying me my facial expressions, everything that matters inside those moments. But what you get to do with that is the black background blocks out everything. So all you As simple front light, and that's going to give you a great lighting difference. And then I usually have two on the side, I have one right here and one over here. And that gives me all of the light that I need.
And then that black background is going to contrast me on it. And I don't suggest white because if you're Caucasian or very pasty like I am, then you're gonna just immediately sink back into the backdrop. Whereas even if you're a darker tone skin, you have a black background, you have the white correct daytime lighting, that's what I use a daytime light bulb. Those daytime lights are going to contrast you actually from the background, you're still going to stick out. And that black background is going to create a central focus on you what you're saying your face your expressions. So it makes you a better salesperson and actually keeps more attention on you for longer periods of time.
So I love a black background, and I personally We recommend that when you do videos, especially with sales, I have to back up a little bit kind of like this and I get my hands involved in the videos. You want people to see your hands inside sales videos at the very least, because there's just this idea behind it. There's been a lot of things neurolinguistics has talked about it, were hand motions, get people involved, and it increases the energy and the emotion of when people watch videos. So hands are a great thing to have. When you get back to the training videos, maybe you need to get on the computer, you can get right back to this position. And if you maybe you have enough room where it can shoot back enough and you can still have the keyboard in front of you and even show your hands up here slightly above your you know, your I call it just my six pack of my quiet Doritos but just the right your chest level.
And with that, as long as you have chest level and above, and again, your top top of your head, you're filling a gap portion of the screen, then you're going to take a lot of the attention that people have. It's going to be all directed on you, which is exactly what you want for sales and production videos.
