Okay, let's go ahead and get the best settings for your webcam. So there's actually lighting that you can do inside the webcam itself. And these little tweaks are going to improve the way that you come through how you can, you know, bring more clarity to your video. But the most important part is the outside lighting your webcam can only do so much. It's just a software, there is even things that you can get maybe things like you can increase the capabilities of the webcam slightly, but overall, your outside lighting is going to be 80% of the difference maker, your webcam settings, the other 20% that's the 8020 rule of the recording. So when it comes to the driver, if you've gotten the driver that I've seen, or the webcam that I've suggested the driver will be a Logitech C 930 e. Now this may change in the future, I may update these things.

The links will also be updated when they route through my website. So you'll get the exact webcam that I myself am using it you know right now. And I want you to make sure that if you do have a different webcam, etc. Just type that in along with the brand username, and then the word driver. All right, so for me, it's Logitech C 930. E, driver, whatever it is for you that brand name, the name of the webcam, and then driver.

And when you search that up, you're going to come to the website where you can actually download set driver, this drivers the webcam software, it gets it going. Usually, if you have a new webcam that you bought, it'll come with a little CD or DVD that installs this for you on your behalf. If you bought it used, you may be missing that part. So you can just simply search it online. So we're going to come down, I'm going to say downloads And then we're going to move down. If you have either a Windows or a Mac, it'll usually be able to verify but if not, then just naturally tell them what system you're using.

If it's Linux, Windows, Mac, etc. Once that downloads, I'm just gonna cancel this because I've already downloaded it, you're going to install it, when you install it, this screen is going to pop up. And this screen is basically just the webcam letting you know, here's how you can get started. So I'm going to go into the webcam settings, you can see it's a little bit too wide of a view, I want to mainly just keep it more consistent with me, I don't want my head so small, and I don't want to be exactly in the middle. I actually want to be a little bit further up top about right here in terms of the entire frame on the outside here. So I'm going to zoom in a bit and either there or and I may even adjust My screen a little bit, the webcam itself and make sure that I'm lined up.

Now an odd thing that sometimes happens is if your webcams off just by a few millimeters, you'll need to test sometimes it'll look like you're staring like this or like this with your eyes. And you want to kind of try and have it right in the middle and be far enough back. Again, your head should be taking up the top portion of the box. If you can come back a little bit, just to get your hands involved. That's good for promotional and marketing videos to have your hands in the video. But most of the time when you're going to do teaching, you can come right back here because you need to look at the keyboard, etc.

So brightness controls, you can increase that as much as you prefer. Now the main idea being does your brightness, need if you have the outside lighting setup correctly. Usually the default is Good enough. As you can see right there, that captures me perfectly. But if you don't have the best lighting, maybe it's a room issue, or maybe the lights a little too bright. While I do suggest getting a diffuser, you can bring the brightness down a little bit if it's really bright, and it's just shining too much on your face.

Of course, if you get the directional front light with a daytime that I suggest, you'll be able to position it up, down, left, right, etc. So the brightness if it is still too bright, maybe you have too small of room or you have white walls and it's just naturally creating a glare. I get it reduced the brightness down a little bit. You're gonna want to play with these controls. If you don't have bright enough lights I do so obviously you can see I'm starting to get washed out a bit and that's the effect that naturally happens. So for me right here probably is the most clear pristine setting for When it comes to contrast, this is going to stick you out from your background particularly.

So again, you can see a little bit more of my background. Now when I do that, you can probably see even more my background, especially my figurines here, right in the corner, they start standing out more, I start standing out less than getting washed out into the background. This I'm sticking a lot more. But again, if you're Caucasian, or have a very light skin, it's going to end up naturally creating almost this ghostly effect, I would say, it doesn't look good to be extremely pasty. So your saturation now that's something you might want to play with. It doesn't really seem to affect a lot but when you enhance the video to 720 10 ADP, it really does add value to the color scale.

As you can see a little bit more of my colors coming out. Now I'm getting to read. The best place to look is usually at the lips and you can really tell the biggest difference between how your lips will stand out to the rest of your background etc. so right about there maybe the best for me I want to add a little color so you know I don't want to look that pasty. So I'm gonna add just a little bit of saturation, and then I'm going to stick out just like this. So those are my perfect settings for my Logitech.

Now if you want to do other programs, etc, you can use those This is the most default basic driver, but there are other webcam software's that naturally integrate with plethora of webcams, almost universally, and they'll have their own settings that will again increase or reduce the saturation, the contrast or the brightness. Make sure to play with these settings because they're going to be the final tweaks to your lighting setup. That's going to give you that final well, extra and that's what really makes the difference inside of a great video.
