Hi, I'm Dr. Anna and welcome to restorative yoga for anxiety, stress reduction and body awareness. For those of you not familiar with restorative yoga, restorative Yoga is a therapeutic form of yoga, also known as the practice of resting and digesting. It is also a passive practice, which means aside from transitioning from pose to pose, there will be little to no other movement involved. Your body will be a deep rest and supported by various propping, such as yoga bolster blankets and blocks. restorative yoga brings about balance and ease in your body, through the regulation of your breath, the opening of various areas in your body, especially that of your spine. which promotes a specific nervous system response.

When your nervous system is at ease your breathing regulates digestion takes place and you come back into a balanced state of mind and body as long. There are a few items that you will need to gather before we get started. If you are purchasing equipment, you will need to purchase two yoga blocks. A large round yoga bolster and a few yoga blankets about three to four should be sufficient. All of these items can be found on the links on my website. If you would rather use equipment made from home, you can do that as well.

You will need A rolled yoga mat about three to four small decorative pillows because they're firmer, a little sturdier and a few blankets from home large blankets About a full or queen size, our best. So if you're ready to experience awareness in your body, deep rest in your nervous system, and a sense of peace and ease in your body and mind. Then let's get started.
