If you are, then let's begin together. So how do you sustain your business you have heard me say, in almost every lesson that anyone can start a business, it's another to sustain a business with and without you, when I say no with you, the business can go on with you, and the business can go on without you. And with that said, it's about positioning your business to run without you is positioning yourself and your business to run and be more sustainable because it's been said that 90% of small businesses tend to fail between two and five years of even starting their businesses. But we already have provided so much great information to help you to start your business and to sustain it. And one way in sustaining your business is to invest in yourself and your business. In other words, it is about investing in yourself because if you don't invest in your own self, then Why should others invest in you, and invest through your product and service if you don't put the time to put $1 up for your learning, for your growth, for your knowledge base for your skill set to enhance and improve yourself.

So you want to make sure that you are a master of what you do. Because and that that will help to sustain your business that will help your business to run with and without you. Start putting up the money you already have by purchasing this program. It is about ever learning is about ever growing. So definitely check out my products and services at Dr. Sarah Renae Langley COMM And we can definitely have a conversation in regards to how else can I be of service to you to help you to further your grow and to substantiate on what you have learned thus far, but definitely investing in yourself. Thank you Definitely a whole lot and definitely a lot.

It is about you investing in yourself and into your business, raising the capital, putting the dollars into growing your business so that it is visible, is credible. And that is that is definitely how you draw. Definitely, that is how you draw business to you. That is how you attract clients. That's how you help to further sustain your business to run. Leveraging every opportunity and now again, when you're networking, because that's another great strategy in sustaining your business is always networking, always connecting with people, they say that your network is your network.

So who is in your network that you can constantly connect with and via referral. That your referral source that you are the one that your network is referring to? clients to you. And because of the relationship that they have with the people that they are referring that those particular people know like and trust them. It's like by default or is by the fact that they will then get will know like and trust you as well. They'll trust enough to have the conversation with you, and inevitably hire you for their problem seeing you as being the solution to their problem.

So leverage every opportunity when you're networking. When you are. Remember, this one coach talked about how when she would go to the grocery store, when she would go on the airplane, what she'll be on the airplane, when anywhere and everywhere that she goes, she would love this opportunity to to pitch her business. She She definitely was one who leveraged every opportunity imaginable. You can think outside the box so to speak, and not even be inside the box, get out of the box for one, so that you can really be more creative and how do you leverage every opportunity possible to drive business to drive you drive business to you further sustaining your business aggressive growth. Now, this is simply similar just I just shared in the way how it is a matter it is an investment term.

It's a strategy that means a portfolio management that attempts to maximize returns by taking a relatively higher degree of risk. So it seemingly The higher the risk, the greater the return. So when you are outside of the box when you be more creative, when you are leveraging every opportunity imaginable to drive business drive clients to you Why not position and using every ounce of you in terms of not to drain you, but every ounce of your creativity, every ounce of your skill set. Having multiple streams of income, having multiple passive income streams, you don't have to just focus on one thing and drive it to the ground with you and you with it, but rather you are looking at Alright, well, not only can I create content and great, great programs that I can sell, but I can create a book, I can speak, I can coach I can train, I can mentor and train them.

So then they now teach and coach and speak for other people and I can get a percentage of that. They can be I can create a you know an affiliate program. I can be an affiliate where I'm driving and I'm being a referral source and I'm getting a percentage of that. I can create an affiliate program where I have ambassadors that run aka run Intel, it's, and I get a percentage of that. I can license my programs out and create trainers online, you know, representing my business and get a percentage of that. There's so many different ways so aggressive growth in the sense that I'm using it is more about you're creating more opportunities aggressively, aggressively creating more you're, you're doing so much more because you're thinking smarter, and you're working smarter, not harder.

You're listening, the hard work on yourself. So there's no longer wear and tear on your body on your emotions and know your mental and physical state, but rather you are aggressively growing your business in multiple ways of going about a smart now if I want to Or if you want me to address it in there is a risk. That depends. I remember hearing this one trainer at an event that I went to he was saying, you know, pretty much people want to which is understandable and makes sense, don't want to lessen the risk when it comes to investments when it comes to investing in their money, however, studies have proven investors would say, the more aggressive that you are, the more risk that you take. The higher the returns, the higher the game. So, you go with what is within you.

What do you discern is the right away. I know that I am talking to one who is a risk taker, who's all about risk who get excited with the adrenaline adrenaline rush that goes through their body. And they're like, yes, I'm all in it to win and I'm going to be aggressive in everything that I do. I want to risk it all. I'm going to put all my money out here. No, I'm going to sell my home, I'm going to sell my car, I'm going to get every cent that I can get and put it all on this business.

Now that could be another way of aggressive growth. And I'm going to believe, be all in so that I can gain substantial amount of return on my investment. Then you I know I'm talking to one who likes to play a safe in every sense of the word. And rather take you step by step small chunks in small pieces, small bites, and that's okay. But just know that truly, no one really gets anywhere playing it safe. Because in a way that's playing small and that's not actualizing your fullest potential.

There's so much in you. There's so much greatness in you. You may have heard this before, you may not have but I'm telling you that there's so much in you and I haven't met you but the fact that You decided to invest in yourself through this product through this program says and speaks volumes, that there is something about you that you are seeking after. And that you know that there's greater within you. You just need that direction. You just need that reminder.

You just need someone to push you and I'm that person. I'm that sensei pushing you right now through this program to take it up a notch because playing small serves no one, Marianne Williamson look her up our deepest fear. That's her book, or at least that was her writing on that. It serves no one. It is about taking it up and taking a risk. I'm not saying to sell your house and sell your car but if you lead to you just trust your gut, you can your gut doesn't lie.

It never lies, your intuition your inner self is high time to start listening to that and that may be your inner self telling you that you may take needed Take it out and start being more aggressive in your approach. Because overall, the goal and the aim is to sustain your business and have your business run with or without you and with and without you. If there's any comfort and knowing this, maybe this will help you a little bit and taking time for you to take a risk. Connect with those who have shared attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors like you that will help to guide your actions. So whether you are looking for people that you admire, and you're seeing the themes, what is what are similar themes between you and that person that you admire? Most about not everybody seems to turn to Oprah as an example.

You may have the same beliefs, the same attitude, you all may behave the same, there may be certain certain instances where you're behaving like her. But let those elements overall guide you in your Step by step strategy, doing what she's done. If you're looking to be a billionaire, you're looking to create an empire. Similar to what Oprah has done, that you follow and parent after her patterned after her. share those same attitudes and beliefs and behaviors, and let that guide you in your success, your success and sustaining your business. You can also connect with like minded individuals like yourself, sharing the same attitudes, beliefs and behaviors.

So that you're allowing that to guide your actions. You're creating an accountability group for yourself, a mastermind, if you will, of like minded individuals, where you all have common commonalities that will help to guide you in your actions towards sustainability. So we're sustaining your business. So connection is key. And having something with someone to pattern after is also key when it comes to To sustain your business, no, this this is so key here too. Now I'm about to start using the word key.

A lot. You are in the business of earning money, who you are. If you are a counselor, if you're a coach, if you are a speaker, if you are a trainer, whatever you may be an author, a caterer, a beautician. Just know that that is not who you are in the industry. Do you want to know who you really are? You My friend, you are a marketer, and a business person.

You are a marketer. It doesn't matter what industry you're in. It doesn't matter what hats you wear. You are a marketer. You're in the business to market yourself to sell your products and services and programs. Those right there are the heartbeat of any business.

Why? Getting selling. That's how you get the money and that's how you hope to sustain your business. That's how your business continues to, to not float, but to continue to run and operate on its own. When I was transitioning from being a counselor to becoming a coach, and a consultant, I was challenged with how I was seeing myself and therefore it impacted my business negatively. As a counselor, I was trained that our we my reward was seeing someone happy and smiling to see someone feeling better.

And that always made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Yes. It didn't help with my bills though. It didn't help with solely help with my bills at all. bill collectors want money, moolah. Not the warm fuzzy story that I made someone feel better so Because I had that mindset though, as a therapist, as a counselor, it translated across my business.

My business couldn't sustain offer that it couldn't continue on with that attitude, because what I was doing was, oh, you can't really pay it or you can't really afford it. Okay? I'll do another IOU. Oh, I don't want to charge that much. They may not have the money. Although they will come back with tans because they were on a 14 day Mediterranean cruise, or they couldn't afford the $30.

I was charged for counseling services. All that right there in and of itself said that I didn't understand my own value. My clients did the ones who took advantage of it. But then I decided to not look at people who were taking advantage of my shortcoming of the fact that I didn't understand my value. I started to focus on the ones who would respect me and my value. And and by way of them respecting that they were willing to pay whatever the amount was I had one client that was like that.

That's that then that changed the whole trajectory of my whole being in existence and mindset and perspective and view. When I made the decision to transition no matter what, from counseling to coaching, and this one client that I connected with, or I was counseling, I provided counseling with her one time, three years before I met her again, but I kept up with her. Y'all better listen to this. I kept up with her throughout the years, checking in with bear following up, follow his fortune is in the follow up, following up seeing if she needed me. She will let me know she didn't need me at the time but she was so appreciative that I followed up with her and kept up with her to check in with her. Now she was finally in a position three years later to see me.

And long short I told her how much I would charge for coaching. She knew liked and trusted me even though we only met one time in the three seconds of the 45 minute session that I had with her, she was blown away by me. And the fact that I followed up with her that helped her to know me, like me and trust me enough to hire me as her personal one on one coach for one year, at nearly $14,000 the value that I brought to her she had later said that she made her money two times over, like double, you know, it's like she felt that the value that I gave her in the in the time that I gave and the information and the content and the time with me. She felt that it was well worth the investment. I started to recognize my value and I demonstrated it according to the others followed suit Likewise for you, when you change your mindset to no longer look at yourself as a beautician or a coach or whomever you see yourself but you see yourself as a marketer, as someone who is selling their product and service because remember selling isn't sleazy, like we think it is.

It's more about serving. It's a mind shift. This is a mindset restructuring moment. reframing moment, when you shift your mindset and look at yourself in a different way, and look at this whole way of creating and sustaining and running a business differently. We look at it differently, you'll get different. You won't get the thing that you've been meditating on, such as thinking that you're being sleazy by selling or that you, you're not the best marketer at all or that you're just merely a beautician.

Because all of that breeze exactly what you're going to get which is minimal. Done. Just like I was at that same position, I looked at the IRS, I was merely a therapist. I don't know how to market I don't know how to sell. So that kept me stuck allowing the insurances that I was contracted with, to send me clients, but it was under their terms. They were getting the bulk of the money, because they were doing all the marketing and selling for me.

And then as a result, I got a bare minimum. And on their terms, whenever whenever they would send me my my reimbursement, that could be three months, six months, nine months, a year, simply because I only saw myself as a therapist who didn't know how to market and sell. And because it was all about the reward was only about Oh, making them feel better. And and I don't minimize that I don't take that lightly because I was really proud of myself in terms of helping them and making people feel better. But for me to sustain the business, I had to make sure that my pricing and fees were comparable to help run the business. So for you shift your mindset, you are not the person in the industry, you are a marketer and as an one and a sales person, a business person who is great at what you do, not just solely what you do in the industry, but great in terms of marketing and selling, the more that you start believing in that and meditating on that and believing that and receiving it and recept receiving that as something that the more it becomes true.

To help sustain your business, understand your competitive advantages, be lightyears ahead, VP, turistic. See yourself five to 10 years ahead, work your way backwards. Reverse Engineering is what they call it. You You have the end in mind, and you work your way backwards on the strategies and the stuff That it, it took for you to get there to the end result to the end goal. Know your competitive advantages meaning knowing doing your marketing research, checking out your competitors, see what they're doing, see what they're not doing so that you can do it and do it better see what they're doing so you can do it and do it better rather do it better doing different they'll drive sales to your business. Know the marketing trends know what we're getting into.

Don't focus solely on today. I remember my my team with my consultant team was talking to me about what target market to focus on. For the sake of being ahead three to five years. And at the time of this recording, the target market can be the Gen Z years. Right now we're at the age of the middle. Millennials, and oftentimes people are tailoring their business to help serve them.

But right now, it's really about the Gen Z years and being prepared for them. How do we create programs and products and services that will cater to their needs? Now, that is one way of being lightyears ahead who will be the next generation after the the Gen Z are considering creating a plan of action and a strategy, that when it's time to execute it, that it meets those the needs of that generation. So just thinking ahead and using understanding and using your competitive edge, the advantages that you have, whether looking at your competitors and seeing what they're doing or not doing and doing it different, as well as preparing for the generation ahead. That Definitely hands down will help you to sustain your business because your business will meet their needs, like years ahead from now. I mentioned this before.

Another way to sustain your business is to have multiple streams of income. So looking at different ways of how you can split and splice, how you can not only create products or create programs, create services, you can speak, you can train you can coach you can teach, you can educate, you can do so many things, not just one, but many. You can have a podcast, you can have a YouTube channel, you can do Facebook Lives, you can do so many different things other than just solely one way, create multiple streams of income that surely will sustain your business. And I mentioned this before and in the other lesson, being disruptive in the marketplace. challenging the status quo. You know, the opposite Have courage is not coward is the opposite of courage is conformity.

Daring to be courageous enough to be different, to be unique to be authentic is what I'm saying. That in itself is disrupting the market the marketplace because everybody's doing the same thing the blind leading the blind, they're creating the same exact products and services and not so much about the product and service itself but creating parroting it, you know, they're like, Oh, well, it looks like they're, they're, you know, doing it right? on social media. You know, everybody is a coach, a guru. Everybody is is you know that that person that everyone's supposed to swear by because they obtained riches and fame and fortune. So they present on social media.

All the while not realizing that they're copying after you. They're looking at you and you're like, I'm not even there yet in my business. Following after you get your, you know doing it. Rather, you're going to be disruptive, you're going to be the one who's going to challenge the status quo. You're the one that's going to dare to be you dare to be unique, dare to be authentic. You want to challenge their thinking, their comfort zone, the way that they're playing the way that they're showing up.

They will definitely not like you. Whoever likes to be challenged, whoever likes to, you know, be called on their stuff. Rather though, they will absolutely respect and appreciate you. I like my mentor that I had when I was a counselor, my clinical supervisor. She had never been a counselor she would accept and allow the crap that I gave her. And I can say that now I couldn't say that then I wouldn't show for the session.

Her heart was pulled for the fact that at that time to just disclosure, full disclosure. So I'm a caregiver for at this time of the recording my my mom and my dad, my dad has early onset dementia. My mom has late stage Alzheimer's disease. And at that time, she was in the beginning stages. And I was sharing with my clinical supervisor the struggle of becoming a care taker. The changes that were happening, didn't know what my future look like, because of my mom's condition.

I just got out of college. You know, I was a struggling college student not making so much money. And so all of those things that I manipulated unconsciously at the time. She decided to discount her services significantly too. Sometimes I even charged me, but as a result, I didn't show up. I was like, Oh, you know, I would oversleep I would not travel to her.

You know, call her when I, you know, after the fact like, Oh, I'm sorry that make it. So she got hit to that. And then one day, she decided to disrupt my whole world. She said, Hey, you know what I'm gonna, you're gonna respect me and my value and my time and my service. So therefore, I'm going to give you I'm going to show you the full fee of my service. So from zero, or, let's say 10 $15, to now $150, I think was 140 at the time.

And not only am I going to charge you, but I'm going to charge you for every time that you leave, or and every time that you decide to cancel my services on 20 without a 24 hour notice or something along those lines. And guess what? Because he challenged my bad behavior because that was so wrong. About was no, no, I showed it for every single session. on time or barely making it getting there at least one minute, one minute before time. If oh if I got if I had to get to the door and I had to get buzzed in, I would say you know I would drive up I will get there at let's say nine o'clock that was a time I would drive up I would get there nine o'clock.

I don't get to the door bus and it was like 901 I'm like, but I was in the parking lot. I was in the parking lot at nine o'clock. Linda, I got there to funny so hilarious. Oh my goodness, but she definitely shaped me up she She challenged my my way of being She challenged my everything about me because she saw something greater. She saw something greater. So not only was it about her, as she established and she said it that way, but she saw something greater.

She told me this later on. And I appreciated that. I didn't like her. I didn't like that but I did appreciate and respect her. So therefore, your clients will will appreciate and respect you when you come in and do rupt their lives, they won't like you. They will like you later, but you're not in it to be liked.

You're in it to be respected. But that's not even the goal either. You're in it to transform lives, and to help solve problems. That's the point of your business. And doing that and being disruptive and being known for what you do in challenging. That definitely was a senior business.

Master one thing and expand. Do your best. See there's no such thing as try is either you do it or you don't. So do your very best. To not be a master of all or be I'm sorry, be a jack of all trades and master to none. But Master one thing and then expand from there.

Another life lesson that I can share. I have definitely been a jack of all trades, nothing that I can't do. And yet I wasn't getting anywhere. I wasn't getting anything done. Everything was left undone because I didn't master one thing. We go back to using Oprah Winfrey.

She started as a journalist. She started as having her talk show. When she outgrew her talk show, that's when she started to look into other pursuits. And she was an actress. She is a philanthropist. She has her master class that she teaches at the time of this recording.

She does so many multiple, you know many other things. But she had to master one and then expand from there. Steve Harvey is a great is a perfect example as well. He started as a comedian. Then he had his TV show. Then he moved into more, you know, sales testing.

With being a comedian, getting into movies, then starting to get hired to be an emcee for various platforms to then starting to have his talk show inevitably having his talk show. But he started with one thing, he was a comedian. And it expanded from there. So master one thing be known in the marketplace for the main thing that you master, you're the go to, you're the expert for that main thing. And once you parlay that, or in other words, once you you you flow with it, once you study it, and you have outgrown it, you have, you know, you were able to outgrow that one thing that you're able to master you can see how you can expand it in different ways, then that's when you do that, as opposed to taking on multiple things because you're basing it out of a scarcity mindset. I said this in one of the lessons I'm not sure if I finished it.

When we have a scarcity mindset and having an impoverished with thinking, having a thought of you know, that you're desperate you have to do this. You have to make ends meet, you have to pay your bills. When you start having that type of mindset, in a place of desperation. Honestly, nothing comes to you. But more desperation, more situations, that creates you an opportunity for you just continue to to stay desperate. And running yourself as long as you say running yourself ragged.

Rather, you have to reprogram your soul consciousness in such a way that you are now thinking from abundance. Because truth be told you are abundant. There's nothing Thing lacking. There's not one thing that you lack. No matter how the situation looks, no matter how you feel, no matter how you perceive life to be, you are fully abundant. You are given everything imaginable and possible for you to win and to succeed, and to sustain your business.

Even this was part of the plan, you being in business, you sustaining your business, you're running your business, you're establishing your business. And because of that, you are fully abundant. And the world is abundant. The universe is abundant, God is abundant. So tap into that source. So that now when you're thinking from an abundant mindset, you'll be able to master one thing and handle everything so brilliantly.

That it was seems so easy and effortless. And when people look at you, they'll say, Well, how in the world did you do it? You know, it seems so hard and complex. How were you able to be? a billionaire trillionaire zillionaire because you're able to master one thing and then known became known for that one thing, and then you expand it from there that is the strategy. That's the order.

So keep that in mind operate from an abundant mindset, not from a impoverished one full of desperation because you'll get more of the same either way. Whether you're thinking from abundance and you'll get more abundance, or you take it from a place of poverty and you're going to get more poverty. Now, of course, if you need help with it, you know, I'm going to give you a call to action, no one offer my service to you. See, I can further help you along with that. Another way to sustain your business is read the average millionaire, it's been said that the average millionaire reads at least on average between 66 and 100 books a year. So load up on your library.

It's time to read, read on how to run a successful business or how to create a successful business. read up on Those thought leaders like a Bob Proctor or a Tony Robbins, how they ran or created their businesses read. Get more knowledge, knowledge is power. Reading is fundamental. So make sure that you load up on your library and take time. 30 minutes a day, to read 30 minutes to listen to a podcast.

Before you start your day before you go out on your way to work or before you start your day. Make sure that you make time for yourself at least one hour before you know before you start anything else, one hour dedicated to you. And then one hour before you go to bed. preserve those two times for yourself and study really. I'm going to keep drilling this in your head and planting the seed. Make sure that you ask ask for the sale and fortune is in the follow up.

So for you to sustain your business always follow up. That is still key. There's still the fortune is still there. Asking for the sale. The money that comes with you asking, and you following up, helps to sustain your business. Never ever think that you have arrived, continue thriving, for better and for more so having a place of humility.

So staying humble, remaining humble. So instead of thinking that you you have arrived because you're always learning, if you're not learning, you're dying. So you're always forever learning and growing and becoming, you are forever becoming and informing and shaping into your greatest potential ever in life. So you have yet to really fully arrived. Even if you are successful right now and happy in your business for those who are listening to this program and a part of it to enhance and improve see right there that shows that you are looking to enhance and improve and to check in to see if you haven't met Anything that you're doing everything accurately, for you to sustain to ever inevitably sustain your business or have your business run with or without you. But it does take to have an attitude of humility now not the fake one, where you're just being modest.

You're not trying to receive the accolades for what you've done, but rather, humility, being humble and appreciative and thankful, our heart of gratitude for where you are, and where you're going to be thankful for who's in your life, to be thankful for the resources that you have to be thankful for. What this pretty much what you know that you have food on the table that your lights are on, and you have shelter, and who's to say that maybe that's not the case for you. You know, there are people that I remember this one, it was the movie called happiness a lot. It has to do with this Man who ended up getting divorced and he lost everything. He had his son. And he worked hard.

He was homeless with his son, his infant baby. But he was able to become a salesperson for a company. And I think you know, it started with it started with Will Smith. He was the lead in the in the movie. I don't want to call it unconditional happiness. But yeah, you can email me if you find out what the name of it is.

So then I can make sure that I talked about that next time and get that right. But yeah, he in the end, he focused his aim and His goal was to provide for his child and to no longer be homeless. So he pushed himself to study sales and become one of the top earners in his in the company that he was in as a salesperson sales rep. So that Right there, he had a chance to talk about it. He was awarded us an award ceremony. And he was just talking about how grateful and appreciative he was.

And where he really started, what ended up happening in terms of getting divorce and losing everything. And then the drive that he had to become successful, to no longer be homeless and to provide the best for his son or his child. He looked back from where he was. But he also looked at what he did possess. Likewise for you look at what you possess, stop looking at where you feel you're, you're coming up short, because again, you are abundant. There's nothing lacking in you there.

There's nothing short coming up for you. You're not coming up short at all. The refrain is that you are full of whatever it is that you possess your gift, your talent. In your skill, your craft. capitalize on that. stay humble, you didn't arrive just yet.

Perhaps you never will arrive, meaning that you're going to always be growing and learning. But then again, let me take that back. What you may consider as arriving is just fine. As long as, as long as it doesn't cap you, as long as it doesn't have you to stay small, as long as you're ever growing and challenging yourself and still doing doing more in the sense of you are making more of an impact. Like in other words, if you have something that's still pulling on you, that means that you didn't arrive yet. You still have something that you feel like is your feeling, and sensing that there's something left undone, that there's more that you can do, you haven't arrived yet.

But if there's nothing pulling on you and and you're satisfied in your Peace. And I mean genuine peace and that you are satisfied, and you don't feel anything else that you can do. And that's not being in fear. It's not a limitation, then by all means that if you consider that as, as arriving, this will be it, that's fine. I can accept that. I just don't want that to be masked as being a fear or a limitation in disguise that's keeping you small, plays small and not actualizing into your fullest potential.

So, it's a balance. stay humble, stay true. Continue to cry for better and for more. But another way that keep you humble is having a clinical supervisor like I did in the person of Linda, you have a Linda in your life, who's not taking your crap and challenges you to show up on time and show up for yourself to no longer play small but to really be good greatest, your greatest optimal self ever. That in and of itself is a humbling experience. And the situation that the gentleman was in being divorced but also being homeless that was humbling for him.

He always remembered that you know what, at any given moment, things can change. So let me stay on top of my game, let me Master this so that I can run and sustain my business and not think that I've arrived and I'm such a big shot, that I can't fall down and lose everything again. That is the point. Stay true to who you are. remain humble at all times. And watch how your business rises to this to not only to the top but also sustains their parent mentor and a coach like myself to help you along with that.
