Do tomorrow what can be done today system improved? The best advice that I can give you is to postpone. Did you ever think I would say such a thing? It is true. I postponed my tasks on a daily basis. I even make sure I've postponed them.

This system ensures I have a minimal task list that I can work on without being distracted by new tasks that might appear. Before describing this technique. Let me tell you of its advantages. I know exactly how much work I have to do every day. I always finish my tasks by the end of the day, I am completely stress free. I work in such a way that I have nothing else to do in the evening.

The do tomorrow what can be done today system is derived from the time management system of Mark Forster called do it tomorrow. According to the original version, the steps you should follow are work on the tasks on your to do list. If an new task appears write it on a new or a different list. At the end of the day, the new list becomes your to do list for tomorrow. Basically, each day you work on tasks that appear the day before, the advantages. Everything is clear to you.

When you start your day, you know exactly what you have to do, how much time it would take, and in what order you can do your tasks. You actually finish what you have to do. In the evening, you're done with all your work, and you're no longer stressed because you're behind on your tasks. You have freedom, you're not overwhelmed by your tasks. If there are tasks that you cannot do today, either there are too many or they depend on someone or a certain date. you postpone them and write them on the list for tomorrow until you decide that the time has come to do them.

This is the original system. After using it for several months, I noticed that something was missing. What was the problem? I had to send two three emails each day to make To three phone calls to shop to three times a day everyday. So I decided to set a new rule in this system, any routine tasks that you have to do leave it for first day. Now when I start my day and make a to do list, I move all non urgent emails, all phone calls and other errands as well as to three tasks that I don't have to do that very day on first day.

What happens in reality, I work on everything that is a priority six days a week. I don't have too many tasks, but they are very important to me. I save all routine tasks for Thursday. I work on them like a robot which suits me just fine because I'm too tired on Thursday to work on anything important. This is one of my essential systems for time management. Even if I constantly try other techniques when my to do list is too long I returned to using this system.
