This is where the career development process starts with you. You own your own career. You are supported by your supervisor and the organization you are in partnership with throughout your employment. Your terms of employment define that relationship. So, with that in mind start by understanding that agreement and all it entails.
Do you know the ‘terms of your agreement’? Speak with your employer or someone in your Human Resources Department.
The assessment part of the process begins with your self-knowledge of where you are now and how you got there. Also, a knowledge of your interests, strengths, capabilities, and of the opportunities available to you.
