Hey guys. So what I've done is I've set up a site where you can actually scan for your basic scan citations to see if your business pops up. So if you just go to scan for marketing comm, you actually enter in your business name, your zip code in your email. And what we'll do is actually compare your business information to what it finds and across the directories, just some of the main directories and so that you have an idea of how visible your your business is across these directories also gives you kind of a to do list if you want to go and do this manually. So just full disclosure for marking is my business. So if you put your information in I will get it.
This isn't me soliciting you. This is me telling you there's a way that you can actually check to see if your business is on these directories. So if you sign up for a tool, for instance, and you build your citations, this is a way to check if they're on there. You can do this when you're in the course you can say hey What was I before what was I after I follow Josh's tips and and do it that way. It's just a great way to sort of spot check to see is the tools working, or what where you are in the whole process. Keep in mind that the way these tools work is they work kind of like Google does in a sense that if one piece of information isn't right, then it's not going to pull up the information.
So if you were if you decided that you wanted to put in ABC realty dash Atlanta's best real estate agent, and you put that into Google My Business, then you need to add that as the business name. And it's going to confuse systems across the way if you don't do that as the same. So the name, address and phone number absolutely have to be the same. And that's the reason why is because these tools are going to look for exact match keywords on these things, versus something that's close enough, because I can't tell you how many bubblegum strips there are across the country with different spellings to sort of get around any copyright issues, some naming this tools for you to use. Hopefully it's helpful. Hopefully you enjoy it.
Let me know if you have any questions. I'm your host, Joshua Jarvis and I look forward to seeing you on the next video.
