Thanks for joining me for this course on how to be a talk show host. I hope you take the plunge and actually start your show a lot of people dream about talking about hosting shows for years decades and never do anything. You've at least taken the step of trying to learn more about how to do it. But I urge you if you haven't done the practice yet that I've asked you to on video, done your pilots, essentially your first shows, do them today. Even if you're just doing a monologue, even if you're just interviewing a family member, let's get the ball rolling. Let's get the process started.
Because too many people can't get over that initial hump of looking at themselves and saying, I don't have what it takes. You do have what it takes. If you want to host a show, you can host a show. I'm not promising you fame and fortune. But you can have an interesting exchange of ideas and you can find an audience if you define your niche there. right way, and you position this in an intelligent way.
So I'm urging you hop in, it can be a great experience. It's an interesting way to have conversations with people and engage with people and also to help people. There are people you will meet in life, perhaps luminaries in your industry, people you've respected, who will be a guest on your show, because they want to promote their latest movie, their latest book, their campaign, who wouldn't just go out for a cup of coffee with you or have dinner with you? This is a way for you to connect with them. In a sense, it's the ultimate networking tool. And it's a way to really have interesting, fascinating conversations with people because they are prepared.
They've thought about it. And it can be a great exchange of ideas and a way to put a spotlight on ideas and people you care about. So good luck with your talk show hosting career, please post links to your show right here. I would love to see your show.
