Quick note on how to navigate this course, as you can see when you look at it, this is a long course, it's designed to be extraordinarily comprehensive. I'm bringing forth my knowledge that I've learned and training 10,000 people plus for more than 30 years, you don't have to go through all the way from lecture one to lecture 550 straightforward. You can pick and choose, you can look at just the parts that seem most relevant to you. I would suggest that you really do not skip past the fundamentals, which in my mind, are the sections on how to look good on camera, how to shape a message, how to answer questions, how to speak in sound bites, but the others you can look at the section head, figure out whether that's relevant or not. You can if you really want a solid grounding on media training, go all the way through now warning, there is some repetition not a lot, but there is some Repetition because people going just to a section on how to do print interviews, need to hear some of the same things people will hear if they go to talk radio interviews.
So there's no way around some repetition. But I think you'll see it serves to reinforce the most important points. The other thing to get the most out of this course, is ask questions, post questions in the discussion section, the q&a section of this course. And I'm pretty good about getting right back to you, if not, same day, typically within two days. So don't forget that the other thing that most people don't take me up on, but I'll mention it to you here right now. If you record yourself, delivering message points, sound bytes, or even an interview and upload it and put the link the URL in the q&a section, I'll give you a personalized critique.
For free More than 1% of my students do that. But those who do really get a lot out of it because I'm giving you highly personalized analysis and critique. Sometimes it's just too hard to critique ourselves. We can do something that's great. And all we do is see our flaws. Oh, my hair's falling out.
I hate my voice, things like that. So it's really good. To get an outsider's perspective. Now, you might not want to use me, that's okay. But I'd urge you to get other people to give you specific feedback on how you're coming across. So I just tossed that out there.
Few people take advantage of it. But it's there. You've already paid for it.
