Let's face it, there's nothing better than giving a keynote speech to midsize or large or huge audience. If you're someone who likes speaking, you have an important message. And you want to promote your cause your business, your issue, your campaign. Being in the spotlight, having all eyes on you really focusing on your ideas. That's a fantastic way of communicating. But there's nothing worse than the travel associated with giving keynote speeches, especially if you're asked to speak on the other side of a country or in another country or in another continent.
Because to deliver a 45 minute keynote speech, if you're going, for example, from the United States to Asia, or the middle, East and back, that can be four days out of five days really if the day of travel day of recovering for your body, the day of the event, another day of travel and another day of recovery for your body. So Often it just doesn't work to spend five days out of your life to give a speech. But what if there were another option? That's what this course is all about how you can give a keynote speech directly to an audience in another city in another country in another continent. I'm going to walk you through the steps, it's a little bit different than just making a video. It's not quite the same as talking to somebody on Skype.
But there are some similarities. I do want to give you the two main options. One is to speak live through Skype or through WebEx or some platform that allows you to speak live the way I typically do it, is just through Skype. And the audience would see me just like you're seeing me now. They would have a laptop in their room, speakers and microphone and then projected up on the screen. The second option is simply record the video in advance and email it or send it by Google Drive or Dropbox to the organizers, and then they can just hit play and project it to the home.
I'll go over the pros and cons of each one. But get ready for your presentation because I'm going to want you to practice this in this course. So don't just sit back and listen passively, get ready to do some real work.
