Here I am without any makeup on now, I hope it doesn't scare you too much, especially if you're watching on a little cell phone, you might not notice much difference. But if you're looking on a really large TV screen or even a big computer monitor, you might start to notice dark shades under my eyes show up more five o'clock shadow even though I just shaved. You'll see a shine on the nose shine up here, and what little remnants of hair I have left disappear under the bright lights. Here's the problem. Everybody else on television is wearing makeup. So if you go on TV and you don't have makeup, you're the one who stands out.

Now you can say well teach I just want to be natural unnatural. Here's the problem. If you don't wear makeup, in front of a video camera TV camera, you won't necessarily look natural. imperfections will be magnified. You may see red spots on my face dots moles pop up. Even more.

And the biggest issue is you start to shine, you'll start to shine on your nose, forehead, up here for those of you with similar hair lines to mine. So that's the problem. Now there is a very simple solution. And I recommend this to both men and women. I will give some tips specific to men versus women later on in this section. But for starters, the main thing you need if you want to just keep it really simple, you need a basic mosaic powder.

All that means is a bunch of little powder, it could be a square or a circle compact. Get this at any drugstore, different colors, and a simple brush or a pad. So what I do is I swirl it around. I don't want to change the color of my skin. I don't want to make it look darker than it is or lighter. So you're going to need to find something that doesn't change the color of your skin.

All you're looking to do is take the shine off. It's not a traumatic thing, but let me just To show you, I'm just going to put it on. You don't have to go to makeup school or cosmetology school for years. I just I typically would do this in about 30 seconds but I want to get it on my forehead. I want to get it especially on my nose around my mouth I since I am clean shaven, most people these days, that's not their style, and that's okay. But this will minimize my five o'clock shadow.

Not an issue for those of you who don't shave or don't shave closely. So all I'm trying to do is eliminate shine. It also tends to even things out the video camera and the bright lights will make imperfections stand out more. make your skin look splotch here, so I'm not going to dramatically change my looks and make me look like a handsome movie star all of a sudden, but all I'm after is trying to know Shine, and trying to even things out. The other thing is it gets hot under these lights. Now studio lights are not nearly as hot as they used to be.

But you could still get warm. I'm getting warm right now. And what the powder does is it absorbs tiny bits of perspiration keeps you from getting shiny looking. Now, here's something that thankfully doesn't apply to most of you. But it is something I do this could work for men or women, though mostly men. If you're thin on top, I just put powder on the top of my head.

Now, I'm not saying get a can of black spray paint and spray hair on your head. That's not what I'm suggesting. But what this does is it eliminates the shine on the top of my head. So it just allows more of a focus on my face, rather than on the top of my head. So these are the fundamentals that I believe everyone can benefit from just a little powder, go to any drugstore. Any brand will work as long as it doesn't make your skin darker than it is or lighter because that will look odd.

If all of a sudden there's a line here and you're much lighter or darker here or up here. That's all we're after for the basics.
